We stayed 2 weeks with a 8pers family and 14 more friends. For our family we took 3 double standard rooms all inclusive. This is our 5th visit to Sharm el Sheikh. Previously we stayed in other 4 and 5 star hotels. Positive feedback at the end. 1. Standard rooms are either without renovation or without balcony and any view. Or they just didn’t gave us a nice view balcony renovated. And one interesting thing. Receptionist said that actually he gave us the best room from their standard rooms and they did me favor. But when I asked to change, they found out that the other one (also standard) is more expensive and I should pay the difference. By the way it’s first time I see a seaside hotel room without balcony. 2. Cleanliness of pool and beach area - awful. There are lot of bottle caps and cigarette leftovers near the pool and on the beach. Guests are smoking in the pool and throwing the ashes into the water and no one from staff makes a remark 3. Sanitary/hygiene - 5 members of our family are vomiting and have diarrhea. Was that because of pool water or food nobody knows and no time to find out because today we are checking out 4. Restaurant - Poor assortment, but you can find what to eat. juice was very watery, I saw a moldy white bread once. You have to choose from dishes clean ones. Good thing- there was a kids area. Bad thing - it was more dirty than general area. The staff didn’t pay enough attention to the used dishes and food leftovers in kids area. sweets are good. They start to collect the tablewares 5 minutes before the mentioned dinner end time. In other hotels staff is still setting the tables even 1 minute before the end time 5. Bar - cups are small (150ml) which in my opinion is not a proper size for beverages like cocktails and beer. If you want any sparkling beverage (beer, coke, etc), my feeling was that they intentionally fill that small cup with as much foam as possible. I asked 1 bottle of orange juice for 8 person family, they rejected and suggested to take by cups. May be it’s according to their rules, but unreasonable and not guest oriented. 6. Room cleaning service - awful. Oh, that’s another story. Towels are not changed, room is not cleaned properly, bed linens are left dirty 2 days after my daughter’s vomit (though I explicitly requested twice to change it), water amount was not updated. A couple of times after room make up found some towels thrown on the floor. Cleaning staff doesn’t speak english or russian and there is a communication gap between reception and the cleaning guys. 7. Checkin was easy without problems as it used to be in Sharm el Sheikh in general 8. Checkout. First time in my sharm el sheikh experience we are not allowed to use the restaurants after checkout time until departure (midnight). All previous times there were no problems in other hotels related to meals after checkout 9. Late checkout is not available for all 3 rooms. Later I found out that it’s available but they didn’t want to give for all three even taking into account health issues in my family caused by hotel’s anti sanitary situation. Thanks to guest oriented approach of management this was solved later 10. Payments for extra services - it’s impossible to order just by mentioning the room number and pay everything when checking out (as it is done in other hotels). You should always take money with you and pay in place for let’s say every bottle of imported beer. 11. Show and the animators. That was the best part. Thanks to talented animator’s staff Jack, Natalia, Rulos and others and big special thanks to Bazuka for kids events 12. Good beach. You can walk into the sea from the beach and at the same time observe corals (snorkeling). Swimming in the sea is allowed till sunset, swimming in the pool is allowed till 22:00 P.S. Guest relations staff and management listened all my concerns and I hope something will be changed in the future

There are places where holidays take on a special meaning and make you enjoying your days to the moon and back. One of them is the Novotel in Sharm El Sheik. This is by far one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, so definitely I recommend if you want to stay in Sharm! In every department a very helpful, so friendly and super smart staff do its best for caring guests, in order they can enjoy every single moment of their days, both at the hotel and outside. The result is that guests feel comfortable like at home: a warm atmosphere you rarely feel in big hotels. And you can even expect to have the best vacation ever… this is rightly what I felt during my last stay at the hotel! The location of Novotel is smart: in front of the private beach, both on the promenade to Naama Bay center and on the main street where you can take taxis or buses, close to a bike hire and to the most well-stocked pharmacy. The hotel is located on both sides of the main way: Novotel Beach faces directly to the sea; Novotel Palm faces on a low hill. Both of them are quiet and modern (or recently renovated). Rooms are surrounded by green gardens, plants, bushes and flowers. They are large, clean and comfortable. You can stay at the sea, where you can sunbathing, swimming and snorkeling, but you can also enjoy pools. Novotel has a breathtaking kitchen. There are three restaurants where you can eat both international and Egyptian buffet (buffets are marvelous!), or Italian food served at the table. I took the half board option thinking I might eat out some of the time, but the quality and choice of food at dinner was very good and excellent value so I was happy to eat also in every midday. But, I repeat, what made my staying in Novotel my the best vacation ever is an exceptionally friendly and helpful staff: every person (ok, rather every one) working there gives you its best for making your day special. They are always ready to give all the assistance you can need, provide informations, spread in warm greetings, fix any problem could occure. Their way of working goes over their "simple" job. From gardeners to chefs, from guest relation managers to cleaners, from waiters to receptionists, from directors to security guards.. They are special! And hope not to have forgotten anybody because I can’t thank them enough for the wonderful experience they gifted me.

I would like to thank the General Manager of the Novotel Hotel in Sharm el Sheikh for the wonderful hotel, this is the 4th time I have my holiday in this Hotel and I am pleased again and again. Special thanks to Mr Mohamed Mousa for his warm welcome and the nice rooms, he always had fixed all the problems, if occured and did his best to please the guests. Many Thanks for the very expert employees such as Mohamed El Gamasy, for his readiness to help and please the guests!!! Many thanks to Dr Adel in the pharmacy who always helps everyone to choose the right product and explains how to use them, thanks for the restaurant for the nice and tasty food, God bless all of you and many thanks again and again!
