With golf, Games, Arcade, Trivia And literally anything you can imagine the Novotel is not replaceable. I hired a bike and went out for 30 mins and even got access to feed a fish just to get back to a cupcake decoration stall (One time activity) and then went to a great room (247). The only thing I found unenjoyable is the wait time for reception given I was told to wait 45 mins to check in, This part wasn’t great but overall I would recommend the Novotel Twin Waters!

A decent hotel but we saw a snake twice outside our overwater bungalow room 285. Don’t stay in this room as the snake loves to keep visiting the place over and over and the reception staff does nothing to help when i rang them twice. Paid a bomb for 9 days, the food service was good at the restaurant but when you ring reception they don’t answer the phone most days. No accessibility to room service either. Takes 3 calls to get something sorted. They have free kayaking and sailing which is great on the lake. Swimming pool on Australia day weekend was super crowded and my son, wife and I all contracted upper respiratory infections due to untreated and overchlorinated water which was a dissapointing end to our holiday considering we came all the way from Tasmania and i had to see a doctor for my son. Cost cutting by unclean water in pool won’t help. They should ideally have 2 pools for a better service. The lake is full of fish but they don’t allow fishing in it ? Strange as most people would just catch and release? Very hot day when we arrived 37 but then other days were like 32 . No accessibility to beach from this resort. Need to take car to get to beach. Also no conceirge service to even carry our bags to the rooms which was dissapointment and need to carry it up the stairs ourselves from the car park which was a pain being very heavy ! Also long walking distance from car park to the rooms. I don’t know if i will stay in this hotel again .Despite everything i believe a 3 star is ok for what they offer

My 4th & last stay! The two stars are only for the lovely breakfast & the activities lady Suzanne who tried her very best to make a lame trivia game interesting. Paid over $4k for three rooms for 4 days. First night one room had water leaking thru ceiling, light fittings etc-took over 4hrs & several calls to move my daughter’s family with her two under 5 children-no apology-not good enough. Today I reported our bathroom ceiling is leaking & bathroom tap dripping. Was told someone will come straight away. Have been out for the morning-doesn’t look like it has been attended to-bathroom floor very slippery. Facilities & rooms are now very run down-not what is expected for a Novotel & not at that price. Activity staff, with the exception of Suzanne, just going through the motions-no enthusiasm at all. Sadly, will not be coming back or recommending to anyone

Have just had a very enjoyable 4 night stay at Novotel. Looking at some of the reviews here, they do not reflect our experience. Over-all, my impressions were good, but I will start with the things that could do with improvement. Some of the outsides of the buildings are starting to look old and rusted and could do with a fix up. Was hard at first to find our way about - and the correct carpark to use, but once I got my bearings it was never a problem, and there was always adequate parking. The room was comfortable, though the air-conditioning was audible (but greatly appreciated as it was quite hot outside!). The layout of the room is a bit odd in that there is a big window-like space in between the corridor and bedroom - this is problematic if someone is going to the toilet in the night because the light for the bathroom also turns on the corridor light! For the bedroom, there was only the bedside lamp and no lighting installed in the ceiling. This made the room very dark as the trees outside blocked out a lot of outside light. I thought the vacuuming could have been a bit more vigorously done, and we found the bath looked a little inadequately cleaned when we first checked in. A quick call to reception for things needed - fresh towels, replenishment of shower gel - were promptly attended to. The grounds were very impressive and the wildlife (kangaroo and joey, ibises, bush turkeys...) were cool to see. We enjoyed the walk from our room to the restaurant for breakfast each morning. The trees and gardens made a good impression and reminded us of tropical holidays we have had. The breakfast buffet was very good with a wide selection of food. It was filling and satisfying - kept us going most of the day. Sometimes though, it felt like the staff were too quick to clear plates, as if they were trying to hurry us along. While we didn't use the lagoon or water sports, it looked popular and well used by guests. Getting lounger in the shade wasn't always easy, there was plenty of space, and we enjoyed swimming in the pool each day. One side of it does need a good scrub as it is looking dirty though. Being school holidays, there were a lot of children of course, but we thought it might be a good idea if a section of the pool was set aside for adults to be able to swim more freely in. The hot spa was also nice to relax in. All in all, we had a great time, the beds were comfortable, and we were able to spend a relaxing few days exploring the area.

With all the negative feedback over several weeks/months and the standard response from the Service Guest Agent(SGA) it appears not much is done to rectify the concerns raised by guests. It would be a nice gesture for the SGA to maybe offer some incentive to return that would also provide positive feedback and generate interest from a vast potential customer base. But it appears the SGA may be AI and a secret agent who takes on board the good and bad responses then hey what/how do I deal with this, oh these will be addressed and please come back.. If genuinely concerned he/she may like to liaise with guests on site to get a feel for what's happening. Yep we stayed for 3 nights in January, busy of course, check in slow (lack of staff would address this very quickly). Car parking can be difficult, not worth trying to get to pool to relax, overcrowded. My wife left a credit card at the table for breakfast, when I went back table cleared and no-one found it...our fault but it was on the table. Also a bit poor that you pay for the breakfast and asked to pay additional for barista coffee. Dinner on first night was okay, but not up to 4.5 standard, Staff member Danilio was very helpful then any other staff. So many times we would see staff but not once did they greet or acknowledge you as a guest. Simple fix. additional training in hospitality would go a long way (SGA role????). Overall mixed feelings about our visit. Yes a lot of activities available, but invariably no staff to monitor. Entry is very gracious and typical of many islanded style resorts. It was an experience.
