We had a lovely time, my daughters loved it as staff did everything to make them feel at home. Special thanks to Andre! The breakfast buffet had many options, including child-friendly. I would def recommend it.

Great hotel for families. We spend one week visiting Setubal beaches during the mornings and spending the afternoon in the hotel's pool. The facilities are very comfortable and the breakfast has really great options. But the best part is the people working in the hotel. They made us feel as home since the first minute. Many thanks to Andre and all the staff for their friendliness. We hope to come back soon.

Need to pay in advance the first night to guarantee first nigh!

I had reserved and confirmed my stay from 15 to 19Jul25. on the Accor website. I received an email from the hotel at about 5 am on the day of arrival 15Jul25 saying they could not charge my credit card for the first night. I was never told, by the hotel or by Accor website, before this email that there would be a charge of the first night when I reserved. I called the hotel reception and gave three different credit card numbers by email to guarantee the reservation. I was told these credit card numbers were invalid. Curiously, I used one of these to pay the other two nights upon checkin. I then had to make a bank transfer to the hotel of the amount of the first night. This is outrageous and unnecessary.

Well, fabulous hotel with outstanding staffs, reception, accommodation and bar/restaurant... special mention to Pedro & Maeva (both F&B).. always available, smiling with great attitude and care for their guests... Deputy General Manager, Andre, is an outstanding manager... attention to details and truly listen... Many thanks for the surprise for my little one birthday.. really appreciated 🙏🏼 See you soon

From the moment we arrived at the Novotel Hotel in Setubel (just a 25 minute drive from Lisbon airport), we felt genuinely welcomed. The lovely receptionist, Beatrice, greeted us with such warmth and professionalism that we instantly felt like valued guests. It set the perfect tone for our stay. I don’t usually write reviews while still in the hotel, but this visit truly deserves it. Every member of staff we've encountered has been incredibly pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. There’s a calm, positive atmosphere here that really enhances the experience. The breakfast buffet is excellent — fresh, plentiful, and thoughtfully curated to suit all tastes. The staff are so attentive, always making sure everything is replenished, and greeting guests warmly, even those who come just before breakfast ends. One moment particularly stood out: after a long and busy breakfast service, one of the servers still came over to each table to ask if we wanted any more coffee, fruit, or bread before they cleared the buffet. Such genuine hospitality. The dining area is spacious and well laid out — it never feels crowded, even at peak times it remains comfortable. You can eat indoors, in an indoor/outdoor seating area or on a deck overlooking the pool. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner also. You can have lunch served to your sun loungers by the pool with drinks which was also a great treat. The club sandwich and caesar salad were delicious. Pedro was the young man who looked after us today and he was an absolute credit to the hotel. Our room is spotlessly clean and has everything you could need. We especially appreciated the Rituals toiletries and the sustainable touches like the option to skip daily cleaning or reuse towels. The air conditioning is also excellent — efficient, and keeps the room perfectly comfortable and can be adjusted to your personal preference. The pool area is another highlight. It's centred on a generous deck with lovely loungers (many of which look brand new) under big umbrellas, perfect for relaxing in the sun or shade. Music is piped throughout the outdoor area but it is not intrusive and for our stay, it added to the happy sunny summer vibes! There is a big car park, but if like us you didn't have a car, taxis are efficiently ordered from reception and are good value. There's also a special exit for guests for street access to the shopping mall which is across the road. Thank you to everyone on the staff in the Novotel Setubel who have made our stay so pleasant. I wish I was able to name everyone individually.
