A weeks holiday in Cologne over the Christmas market and my twin brother and I chose the Ibis Koeln Centrum ,stayed here before ,its a hotel I really enjoy staying in. Allocated a twin room on the second floor, comfortable beds ,flat screen tv, spotlessly clean, shower powerful, lovely cosy room. We had breakfast included, breakfast was superb, great choice hot and cold dishes, tea and coffee superb and cold drinks options fantastic, hotel bar was really good, iced cold Kolsch beers and as for location it couldn't be better ,tram stops close by ,around the hotel a good choice for pubs,bars, cafe's and restaurants, all in all a great weeks stay in this wonderful hotel.

Hotel Ibis Köln Centrum is located in a nice area of Cologne and it's the only hotel that me and my twin brother stay in when where visiting Cologne for the Christmas Markets dotted around this magical city. It's a clean Ibis hotel with a nice reception area and pleasant staff.The room that me and my twin brother were allocated was on the 2nd floor (201) which was small but very clean and met our needs. We had the breakfast option while we were here which was varied and superb and the bar was excellent.All in all a superb hotel in an excellent area and its a hotel well worth staying in. (This is my 2nd review of the Hotel Ibis Köln Centrum). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-24 Hours. Public Transport. Bus Stop. Barbarossaplatz Bus Stop-978. Tram Stop. Barbarossaplatz Tram Stop-12-15-16-18.

Right next to Cologne’s main train station, this hotel offers clean accommodation within walking distance of all major attractions. The reception is very basic but the staff was professional and somewhat helpful. The room was surprisingly large and very clean, which we appreciated.

My wife and I stayed here as I was celebrating a big birthday and I studied here in Cologne many moons ago so I wanted somewhere where we could access all of Cologne and the Ibis Köln Centrum gave us just that. Right next to Barbarossaplatz tram stop to get to Neumarkt, the old town, over the river in Deutz and on the other line up to Rudolfplatz it was perfect. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed for a mini break. The bathroom had no electricity, when we mentioned this we were offered another room but we only had 1 more night so we declined as this wasn’t a major issue. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel as there was a Merzenich bakery at the end of the street which was lovely and very cheap. We had a few drinks in the hotel bar and the staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. All in all, if I were coming back for a short break I’d definitely stay here again. Vielen Dank Ibis Köln Centrum, wir freuen uns schon das nächste Mal!

You can't go wrong with an Ibis hotel. They are comfortable and clean and have all you need for a short stay. We were only in Cologne for 2 nights and 1 day so it was just somewhere to sleep and have a shower! Reception staff were very friendly. Location wise it's not central but a 5 minute journey on the U bahn from the city centre made it easy to get to.
