I and my wife checked in the hotel on 12 October 2024 about 11.30am and we were told that our room would be available by 3pm. When we called around 3pm, the reception guy told us arrogantly and jokingly that our room would be available at 9pm and told us to wait in the reception area. As nothing was forthcoming and as we saw other customers were receiving their room keys, we called again on the reception guy. He gave us the room key and instead of opening the locked room to collect our baggages, he disappeared from our view. After some minutes while waiting for him to unlock the door where we kept our baggages, we decided to search for him. He found him sitting leisurely at hotel bar taking his lunch. We felt that he had done him purposely. He candidly told us that we should be patient and finally unlock the said door. Thus we had a terrible experience and would not recommend that hotel.

To come back to your dissatisfaction, you were part of a group, and the rooms were actually available at 3pm, not 9pm, your luggage was put in a lounge for more security. The rooms that were given were those of the participants of the group, in alphabetical order, the whole group was understanding to this normal expectation. You had your room before your colleagues who were quietly waiting their turn. It's a bit like the principle of traveling in a group, having a little patience, and thinking a little about your neighbor. And my receptionist has a lunch break between noon, and he is not used to making the customer wait voluntarily, don't worry. Sincerely, Régis KOCH. General Manager

Perfect stop when arriving in Marseille late evening and catching an early train. Across the road from Gare st Charles. Good restaurant, pleasant environment out in the garden. walking distance from the vieux port and the tourist centre.

Çok iyi bir konumu var . Tren garının hemen çıkışında solda. Havalimanından tek otobüsle geliniyor. Nice e flixbus ta burdan gidiyor. Gece geç gelinirse direk otelinize geçebilirsiniz. Garın etrafı pek tekin değil gibi homeless larla dolu. Kahvaltı yeterli ama temizlik bir hayli eksikti. Çalışanlar gayet kibardı.

The staff were extremely helpful during our 5 day stay during the very busy Rugby World Cup quarter final weekend. We were not expecting much from the restaurant but the choice of dishes was reasonably good and the food itself was very good. A great location near the Gare St Charles giving easy access to the underground system.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in Septebmer 2023. I'm a solo traveller who came to see Marseille. The hotel isn't bad. Just slightly out of the way for a 60 year old like me.. Marseille is very hilly and the hotel (and train station is perched on the top of a hill). The train station is right next door (as is the bus to the airport), and there is a metro stop. There is a handy Carrefour just across from the station. Hotel positives - the breakfast is lovely. Buffet style and the outdoor terrace is nice and peaceful in the morning. I had a standard double room which was good enough for me solo but I can imagine a couple bumping into each other. The bathroom/shower is adequate. The room has air-con which was a godsend in the the 30+ degree heat outside. Negatives - there is no safe in the room. If you want to look up your valuables you do it at reception at cost. There is no free luggage store for that last day. There are lockers you can use charging from 6 euros depending on size. The hotel does have a bar/cafe. I used it for a beer once (7 euros) and didn't again. I would class this a 3 star hotel with basic facilities. However as a stop for visiting Marseille and seeing the sights, not bad. In hindsight, for me, I wish I'd chosen somewhere nearer the port with more bars/restaurants nearby.
