Excellent location and good service. Location is 10 minute walk to Promenade des Anglais (take a right and left) and 8 minute walk to the train station which takes you to Monaco and Cannes (take a right and then right, it’s by the building before the bridge on your left). Breakfast was ok but fine. Rooftop bar is nice. Rooms are well appointed. My only complaint was the washroom. They put the toilet paper holder so close to the toilet that your arm blocks it when sitting.

Great staff and services!

My mother and I spent 3 nights at the Mercure and we were amazed by the services provided and the staff. We opted to purchase the breakfast the hotel offers on two of our days. The breakfast starts at 6:30 so it is a very good resource for anyone who has an early flight or train ride out of the city. It is also very nutritious and has many great options for all tastes. My mother was feeling quite sick on our second day, and we were trying to find transportation out of the city to make our flight out of Paris. Various front desk workers, especially Ergin Akar were very helpful with this and spend 30 minutes or so helping me find transportation options. Ergin also sat down with me and told me where I could find safe places in town as a woman walking alone in the evening. He also remembered my face every time he saw me and would check in and ask how I was doing. Walid and Emma were also very helpful and kind and helpful with suggestions and organization of our trip. The hotel was a great walking distance from the Notre Dame, City Center, and Old Town Nice, and English Promenade, as well as many other attractions. My mother and I were both very impressed by the staff and the rooftop restaurant and bar with a pool and gym. Overall it was a great experience, and we would book here again. Disappointing stay

Very disappointing stay, cold hot breakfast, not corrected despite numerous complaints. Very noisy during night, as if trolleys were being constantly moved in the corridors and lifts. We were eventually moved but to rooms right under the bar and could still hear the trolleys at night. Staff were very dismissive of our issues, although the manager did organise to move us. And finish it off, we ordered a taxi for the airport the day before we left. It never arrived and when we asked about it at Reception, all we got was we will order one now, no apology for the delay and inconvenience. Staff didn't seem to have had any customer service training at all, beyond basic check in training. I stayed here many years ago and it was better then, I wouldn't book it again

Business Hotel with Great Location

My wife and I came for the F1 race in Monaco. We booked the classic room Not a huge room but we were comfortable for 6 nights. The location is perfect, close to restaurants, main sites, train station, tram, sea, etc. The staff was helpful. I’ll stay here again when I return.

Big disappointment

We expected Sofitel standards similar to the Heathrow one but we were very disappointed.Hugely overpriced for what looked and felt like a three star hotel.Location is okay for the train station.Room needs serious renovations,the bed was comfortable but the shower was useless.
