Very good mecure hotel

One of the better mecure hotels we have stayed in. Very well positioned near the centre. Had underground car park which was tight but ok for our skoda. Very modern on the inside with all the expected amenities. Good breakfast selection inc plenty of cheese and bread as yiu would hope. Plenty of storage too and well priced.

This was undoubtedly one on the best hotels we stayed at during our latest French tour. Great location, easy to find, secure parking and wonderful staff. Good size bedrooms, large comfy beds and air conditioning (which was certainly needed). Everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. Mouth watering offerings from the restaurant for dinner and a breakfast to die for. Easy walking distance to town centre to explore the market, the Cathedral, art gallery, Joan of Arc Museum and lots more. Lola was the only name I managed to get but two other young ladies on reception and two men in the restaurant were very friendly, attentive and humorous - not always a given. The bar manager made my wife's day by telling her she looked lovely! It was a pity that we only there for two nights. As Arnold said 'I'll be back'.

The hotel is well situated, about a 10 minute, flat walk from the Cathedral. The rooms are very adequate, clean and very quiet. Not all rooms have a fridge so it’s worth checking this when you arrive. You also need to ask for a non slip mat for the shower and the shower does not have any grab rails. You will also need to take your own shower cap. The air-con is excellent. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The restaurant does not offer an extensive dinner menu but the food we ordered was fine. On busy days it’s advisable to book.

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel as part of a tour group although we were independent during our stay. We had the ground floor room asked for and it was excellent. The bed was ginormous and extremely comfortable. Sleep quality was good because despite being on a busy road and a busy hotel we never heard a sound and overlooked a small park. The room was comfortable and the wardrobe adequate although a few drawers would have been good. The bathroom was excellent and the towels were large and fluffy. We asked for a mat for the bath and received it immediately. We ate 2 nights in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Breakfast was as good as anywhere we have stayed really, fabulous choice. Would I stay there again ? Most certainly.

Poor quality items spoilt an otherwise comfortable stay.

Mostly excellent staff - very friendly. Food pretty good considering it was cooked in bulk for our party of 27. Fairly good location but not for an evening stroll as too far from centre. Bit strange to have the bar in the dining room - you had to carry drinks through reception to another room if not eating. Comfortable beds and plenty of space in bedrooms but lack of drawers and cupboards for things like books, iPads, jewellery, and no milk for hot drinks - had to ask every day. Poor quality bathroom towels (thin and scratchy), cheap toilet paper (if you need to use 6-7 squares it’s a false economy), but worst of all is the cheap furniture. Wardrobe in particular has sharp edges that cut the skin on my arm, yet when I went to reception for first aid (having used up the plasters I brought with me) they had one small plaster that was no good. I had to go to a pharmacy next day to buy a box. This is certainly not a 4 star hotel, more like 3.
