Something very serious happened to us at this hotel. Firstly, it should be noted that all attendants are instructed to inform you that there is no public parking nearby, and in front of the hotel there are public spaces available for people with disabilities and for electric cars. Further ahead, close to the student building, there is also a public parking space with more than 50 spaces available. All of this is done to push hotel parking to 28 euros per day. That said, we placed the car in front of the hotel in the parking space for people with disabilities since my wife was diagnosed with a herniated disc that makes it impossible for her to walk long distances. The next morning our car was towed even though it was identified with a disabled person's card. We had to pay the "trifle" of 450 euros to remove the car. I can't say with 100% certainty, but for us it was the hotel staff who called the tow truck. Stay alert.

Very nice hotel with great facilities. Clean and bright. The staff were very helpful . Room was specious and modern. There is a small store within the hotel with snacks, drinks , sandwiches etc. that is always open - very convenient. The only reason for 4 stars (and not 5), is because there are no restaurants or stores near the hotel. The metro into town is about 7 min walk.

Awesome property with good rooms, buffet breakfast which actually followed the meaning of a Buffee, warm staff. Location is bit off but no too odd either. In 10 minutes, one can touch main Harlem Square and Canal Tour points. In our entire Europe tour, this was the only Hotel/property worth staying.

Modern looking hotel

Lovely clean and modern looking hotel. Easy conmection to city metro station is only 6mins walk away. The only faults would be very warm room. Air conditioning is working more like a fan. Can't imagine staying over summertime. Windows could open more widely to compensate the heat.

Clean home away from home close to station

Stayed a full week here. The rooms are kept spotless, the black out curtains are nice, towels are fluffy and big, and there was a Nespresso machine and mini-fridge. (It said complimentary drinks on the fridge but it was empty.) The hotel and room have a very clean (but not chemical or weird) scent that was pleasant. Accor website still advertises a transfer to the city center, which we found out does not exist anymore. The walk from Overamstel (or Spaklerweg, if you want to pass a McD) is easy though. There are bike rentals, but you can’t reserve so just hope enough people returned it from the night before, and you wake up the earlier before others. The capacity really needs to be improved if they’re going to say they have bike rentals in the lobby! Alternatively the front desk can offer shop names that have good bikes to rent because that’s what we ended up doing. Overall I would say this place is good if you do not plan to use the amenities I mentioned above.
