I would like to share my experience during my stay at the Sofitel Mauritius L'imperial Resort and Spa. I Had a great memorable time with my husband and my kid there. Perfect hospitality and kindness. Special thanks to F & B Kooshal, Mervin, front office Keshini as well as all staff. Amazing indian food and services.

I had a lovely experience overall, the food and the pool were lovely but the absolute highlight was a massage with Jeshnee at the spa -- she was so kind and did such a fabulous job. If you go, make a request to see her!

"Enchanting Getaway: A Magical Experience at Sofitel Mauritius"

Absolutely enchanted by our holiday experience. The resort was an absolute dream. The staff exceeded all expectations with their incredible service. Special appreciation to the ever-active hotel manager, Kamal, who ensured every guest's happiness. A big shoutout to Pravesh, the front desk manager, who went above and beyond to resolve a minor issue, ensuring my stay was exceptional. The overall welcoming and joyful demeanor of the staff made our time at the hotel truly enchanting. The main restaurant's diverse selections were a delight, and the food was simply delectable. Indian and Mauritian theme nights were standout experiences. The pool and beach areas were pristine, offering breathtaking views that added to the magic. The spa experience was unparalleled, offering not only the best massage I've ever had but also set in stunning surroundings. In terms of location, being a short distance from Casaville shopping center was convenient. Taxi options and the nearby bus station made getting around easy and affordable. The range of activities, including complimentary boat options like canoeing, paddling, and snorkeling, added to the enjoyment. Heartfelt gratitude to Sofitel Mauritius and its entire team for creating a truly magical holiday for us.

I would like to start off by saying: Mitch (the bartender), Vishelli (waiter), Madelynn (Manger,hospitality), Keshinee (front desk representative), Parvesh (Manager), and the Banquet Manager over the restaurant’s for this property were very accommodating and nice. They were pleasant to interact with and were very apologetic to the situation my group experienced. Mithun and Priya were very rude and unprofessional. Priya was the first person we encountered upon check in. We were a group of 11 people staying at the hotel. We were on vacation from the United States and this was the last country we visited. We arrived at the hotel, Priya greeted us and asked for our itinerary number or booking reference along with our passports. As the travel consultant for the group I advised her not everyone would be able to provide the itinerary number or booking reference due to data roaming but she should have no problem looking it up by our passport information as that’s what they have done at the other hotels we stayed at. Priya responded advising she must have this information. Shocked and confused I again politely advised she should be able to look it up by our name. This is when Keshinee advised yes they could look it up by our names it would take a couple of minutes. We thanked her and were very taken aback that Priya did not chose to handle the situation that way. They escorted us each to our rooms. Two of the rooms had a strong mildew smell. The guests assigned the rooms advised they would need new rooms due to the smell. Priya rolled her eyes and Keshinee advised she would get started on trying to locate new rooms. We all decided to go to the bar in the lobby to pass time while some waited. During this time I contacted my agent to advise of the situation and how displeased everyone was with the service we had received and Prius’s unprofessional behavior. My agent advised she would handle it. A hour later we were notified the new rooms were ready. Parvesh and the Banquet Manager came over after the complaint was received to speak with me about our experience. I explained what we experienced and how unprofessional it was. How I felt it should have been handled. Parvesh agreed and advised they would use this as a teachable moment to course correct. I told him I understood, the majority of the persons traveling with me were Managers, Vice Presidents, Chief Operating Officers so we understood sometimes things happen that are not representative of the values of the organization. I advised we did not have time to change etc to catch dinner and the Banquet Manager advised our attire would not be a problem and he would reserve a table for us. Which was much appreciated. The food was great and the service was great. The next day we headed to get towels for our day at sea to celebrate a birthday. The towel station was closed. We had a ride picking us up at 7am I explained to the gentleman I needed towels for our Catamaran excursion, he advised the station would open at 8am but he could get the towels for me. I told him great we were a party of 11. He advised he would wait until the others arrived so he could make one trip I told him I understood. A couple of the others arrived we gave him the towel card and advised we needed two towels. He stated one towel per card. We advised the lady provided us two yesterday with one card. I asked if I could speak to a manager. Mithun the manager spoke to the employee and immediately started yelling and pointing at us saying that we would only get one towel per card. He further went on to state how much the towel card cost, etc. I have never seen anyone yet alone in management act so unprofessional. The day came to check out. Everyone decided to take their own luggage to the front because everyone at this point was tired of dealing with constant issues. One room in our party called to have their bags picked up two hours later their bags had not made it to the front. It’s a nice resort. The staff at the hotel is great and accommodating. Management needs to go through hospitality training to learn how to treat guests. Parvesh was the only nice and accommodating manager.
