Smalgangen TripAdvisor review

Great hotel. The bus from the airport (that also stops behind the railway station) stops just around the corner of the hotel. Or you could take a 10-15 minutes walk from the central railway station. It is apx a 20 minutes walk to the old town. We were met by a very friendly lady in the reception who informed us about the hotel facilities and gave us a great renovated room. Bathroom was a bit small but the beds comfy. Great breakfast, also here friendly staff. Nice restaurants and beer gardens within walking distance of the hotel.

We loved our stay here. We didn’t try the food because we stayed less than 24 hrs here. But the room was spacious, clean and ventilated. The outside view was also amazing.

Located just a 15 minute stroll to the Mirabell Palace, this hotel was located in a quiet neighborhood. The staff were incredible kind and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and stocked.

This stay was absolutely shocking! Never have I been spoken to or treated the way I was at the front desk. The girl couldn’t fill out our registration and kept messing up her entries on the computer so told us because she couldn’t work the system we would have to go to another hotel down the road! I was shocked but she assured me there were lots of them down the road. However, when I asked for the duty manager she suddenly could magically fix the problem! Shocking! Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!! Ever!

Dear Mrs Oleary, please be assured that your feedback has also shocked me and is definitely far from the standard that we want to offer our valued guests and, for the most part, already do. Courteous service at eye level is an absolute must and I will, of course, discuss your specific case with our trainee as well as the reception management in order to avoid such a case in the future. Why you were given a room on the first floor, which will be renovated in the coming months, is also a mystery to me, which I am willing to solve. Unfortunately, I cannot undo what has happened, but I would be very happy if we could regain the lost trust during another stay with us and you would of course be very welcome to do so.
