Not enough irons, team had to tun around snd organise it, couldn‘t one when we needed it. Crucial for Business travellers. Room was too small, we were granted an „Upgrade“ didn‘t feel like one. TV had no NHK state japanese chsnnel (i am not Japanese), connecting Youtube not possible, bad remote control connection.

Particularly want to mention Stefan and Patricia. Patricia for the wonderful welcome we received upon arrival. Could not fault. Stefan was also very good to us and explained a number of things that helped us out measurably. The room was comfortable and the location of the hotel Was in a quiet neighbourhood but within a short walk of spot of interest and importantly, transport.

We complained about the midnight noises which including knocking the door several times, loud talking at the midnight, but no one really gave us any feedback. There is no phone to call the front desk. The next day when we complained about the noise in the middle of the night, the front desk service seemed pretty indifferent about what we experienced at this hotel and referred to the QR code for direct contact. When we then later requested late check out with the QR code with no reply for 20mins, we had to go to the front desk. How can the hotel staff ensure prompt resolution of noise at midnight when even during daytime with 2 staff working there is no prompt response over the recommended channel (QR code)? No slippers were provided as well. There was no shower gel in the shower either, only shampoo and body lotion. What is the purpose of the body lotion in the shower cabinet? I wouldn’t want to come back with this kind of price range. There are many better options in the area in a similar or lower price range. I feel truly disappointed in Mercure and this specific hotel. As a person traveling one third of the time every year, this can be regarded as the one of the worst experiences.

The mercure hotel was ok . Though marked as 4 star I did not find the hotel and it ambiance and amenities of 4 star hotel. Was kind of disappointed with Accor brand .

The lady that checked us in was lovely and friendly and very helpful. All the other staff we encountered were pleasant also. The room was clean and comfortable and was very quiet. We were pleased there was a kettle. The price for the room per night was high but maybe it is normal for the area. I think a small fridge in the room for the price per night would be good. We were able to walk to all the main attractions and train station however there is a bus stop nearby. There are also restaurants and shops a short walk away. We would recommend staying at this hotel.

Second stay here in 2 months, this time as a base for daily travel into the Pongau region. Easy access to the autobahns and airport, most convenient. The food quality is a bit variable (a very tough wiener schnitzel), but drinks and service were good. And the trip was rounded off by some late assistance from reception, management and maintenance to urgently tape a bulky item for airline transport - well done and thank you!

I’ve stayed here several times and never been disappointed. The recent refurbishment is lovely, with very soft hues in the public spaces. The walk through the new town and across the bridge to the old town is lovely. The hotel staff are very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. The food choices for breakfast and dinner were really good. I will be back.
