Good location in historic section, near train station and main square. Very small room. Clean. Modern decor and bathroom. Pretty good breakfast. Reasonable price. Okay for one night but would not stay here again.

Don't stay during the Braderie.

We stayed here for the Mussel festival - Grand Braderie. The first noticeable thing on arrival was the stench of sewage, which no doubt would have existed at other times as well so be warned. Our room was very comfortable and we had lovey views of the street. But the room was VERY NOISY over the Braderie weekend and we got no sleep until Sunday night when the room was very quiet. So be warned if you go on a busy weekend. Breakfast was a little lack lustre, but hey this is an Ibis. This hotel served a purpose but I wouldn't go back.

Centrally located an easy 15 min walk from Lille Europe, maybe half that to Lille Flanders, I picked this hotel because it was well located for the station and reasonably priced. Check in was easy, with a friendly helpful person on the desk. Room was comfortable with everything you'd expect of an Ibis. Very effective air conditioning which I was very grateful for due to the humidity. Best nights sleep I've had in a hotel in ages, beds were comfortable, decent pillows. Easy check out when leaving.

We stayed at ibis Lille Grand Place for 1 night, we use ibis hotels quite a lot as a cheap base on city breaks so we have seen quite a few and unfortunately this was the worst we've visited. Firstly the lift was out and we were on the 5th floor ok for us but for anyone with accessibility issues it would've been impossible. Then the hotel itself was just really tired dents in the walls and just all round a bit shabby. It's a shame because it is in a fantastic location so it needs a bit of TLC to get it up to standard.
