Basic accomodations within DUS HBF

Stayed a total of 4 nites within the month of June 2025. Initially given a room with the door facing Konrad Adenauer on the 1st Floor, which has reduced noise. Very basic room, with a double bed, 2 pillows. No water kettle, only TV mounted on the wall and all in one shampoo-conditioner-bodywash liquid, a hair dryer. With room AC that turns on-off intermitently. 2 entrances, 1 via inside the HBF and other to the nearby street. The other room is more inner in the 5F, but can hear the rumblings of the trains. Shops within the HBF is conveniently accessible. Sufficient for transitting, nothing more.

Great budget hotel in central location.

Simple but excellent hotel in city centre. Rooms spacious and comfy bed, hot shower and desk to work at. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Located as part of the main railway station this is an excellent location for onward travel including the airport.

Ibis at the Hauptbahnhof is basic but it's well-located near trains, underground , buses and trams and not too far a walk for the fit to the Koenigsallee and the Altstadt . Rooms are not large but have almost everything the traveller needs , except tea and coffee , but you can get this in the downstairs bar . The rooms are clean , the beds are rated comfortable by some of us (unfortunately only one pillow , but that's the German custom ) and the bathroom offers a shower with plenty of hot water . With the window open you'll be aware of trains coming and going but otherwise it isn't noisy . For us , who didn't spend much time in the room , it was excellent . We didn't have breakfast : there are plenty of possibilities for refreshment on the station and even better a branch of the popular bakery/cafe , Backwerk , across the square . Bonus is that Ibis is incredibly cheap by today's standards .

Nice hotel with great staff, however, being woken up at 8am by drilling noises and then by housekeeping trying to come in the room despite the sign being on the door marred the experience. Overall, a good hotel, location not amazing if you're wanting the old town but quiet (except drilling) and comfortable.

Basic small room, easy check in. Shower pressure good, but very small space, kept knocking my elbow... If you want a convenient place for 1 night to dump your luggage, then walk to Königsallee and walk the Xmas market then this hotel serves it's purpose, as it did for me.
