An excellent luxury hotel in the heart of Paris

We spent four nights at Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opera from New Year's Day 2026, and this hotel was the heart of our Paris stay. It’s the kind of place that immediately makes you slow down, sleep well, and actually enjoy being on vacation rather than rushing through the city. The location is outstanding. You’re steps from the Opéra Garnier, within walking distance of the Louvre, Place de la Concorde, and Les Halles, and well connected by metro to the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre/Sacre Coeur, and the Eiffel Tower. While surrounded by other luxury hotels, the Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opera stands out for feeling refined and modern rather than overly formal or dated. This was a hotel for over 100 years and was apparently the late Josephine Baker's hotel of choice. Our room was quiet, spacious by Paris standards, and thoughtfully designed. It had excellent lighting, plenty of outlets and charging ports, and a large, high-quality TV. We were placed in a very quiet part of the hotel with minimal foot traffic, which significantly improved sleep quality. We went to bed at midnight and woke up at 9:30 AM every day feeling refreshed. That's how good the sleep was! Service throughout the stay was excellent. Guest relations were attentive without being intrusive, and check-in was smooth. A shout-out to Bilal who was the guest relations manager who checked me in! Small details, such as nightly turndown service and thoughtful in-room touches, really elevated the experience. Breakfast was a highlight, with a strong buffet and high-quality made-to-order options. The fitness center is compact but well-equipped and rarely crowded, which was perfect after long days of walking around Paris. While the hotel is not inexpensive, and late checkout was not available due to high occupancy, these were minor drawbacks in an otherwise excellent stay. Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opera is an ideal choice if you want a central, comfortable, and well-run hotel that feels modern while still reflecting Parisian history. We would happily stay here again.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 days. I agree for the money it wasn't up to par. At check in room was ready and bellman was going to take up our luggage. We left to go for lunch and walk around for 3 hours and our luggage was not in the room. Called downstairs and they couldnt find it. My husband went down to help them find it. No apology. A river cruise was checking in so they must have put it with there bags. Room was comfortable. Breakfast and service was excellent. Had lunch there .Small selection for the size of hotel. Which I didnt care but I expected the onion soup to be traditional and it was really strange. Hard to explain. It was foamy? Bar area was pleasant. Good cocktails, but expected better for the price. Great area for walking.

Uzun yıllardır Accor Hotels üyesiyim ve Hotel Scribe Paris'de de uzun yıllardır bir çok kez kaldım. Genelde lokasyon ve servis olarak memnun kaldığım bir oteldir. Ancak bu seferki kalışımla ilgili aşağıdaki görüşlerimi paylaşmak isterim: 1) Temizlik- Temizlik benim için en önemli konudur. Bu seferki ziyaretimizde (i) Banyoda tezgah üzerinde bulunan 3 adet küçük el havlusu üzerinde saç olması. Bu sefer eşimle birlikte 6 gece kaldık ve bu havlular her gün değişmiş olmasına (en azından ben öğle olmuş olduğunu ümit ediyorum, çünkü her gün kullanıp küvetin içine atıyorduk) ve daha havlu hiç kullanılmamış olmasına rağmen, daha ilk bakışta görülecek şekilde saç bulunması ki bu iki sefer oldu. Herhangi bir tereddüt olamaması açısından eşimin saçının sarı benim saçımın ise ağırlıklı gri ve kısa olduğunu, havlu üzerindeki saçın uzun ve siyah olduğunu belirtmek isterim. (ii) yerdeki halı normal olarak kir göstermeyecek şekilde seçilmiş. Ancak ne kadar zamanda bir süpürülüyor soru işareti. Çünkü diğer bir tecrübemiz de otelde verilen terliklerle halı üzerinde dolaştığınız zaman statik elektriklenme nedeniyle terliklerin üzerinde halıdan bulaşan saçlar oluşmakta. Bu da halının temizliği, ne kadar da bir süpürüldüğü konusunda büyük soru işareti oluşturmaktadır. 2) Oda da "complementary" su vermek yerine arıtma sistemi kullanılması istenmiş. Suyun tasarruflu kullanılması elbette iyi bir yaklaşım. Ama hiç olmazsa her gün için (tabii içilmişse) bir şişe "complimentary" su verilmesi gerektiğini düşünüyorum. Özellikle daha önce diamond seviyesinde ve şimdi de platinum seviyesinde bir üyeden, yukarıda anlatılan nedenle, mecburen buzdolabından alınıp kullanılmış bir şişe için bedel talep edilmesinin garip geldiğini belirtmek isterim. 3) Diğer bir konu da (bu benim açımdan çok Scribe'in müşteri ilişkileri açısından üzerinde durması gerektiği bir konu olarak düşünüyorum) otele girişte check in işlemini yapan Scribe personelinin giren müşterinin bir member olduğunu/bu otelde daha önce bir kaç kez kaldığını bilmediği, sanki şehre hatta otele ilk defa geliyormuş şeklindeki yaklaşımı/konuşmasının müşteri ilişkileri açısından önemli bir eksi puan oluşturduğunu düşünüyorum.
