I stayed at the Scribe for 5 nights. I have been told that hotels in Paris are small and have no hot water, but the room was not cramped and had a bathtub that provided sufficient hot water. It was a great help to have a relaxing bath after a long day of walking around and sightseeing. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and accustomed to the many Japanese staying there, so we felt very comfortable. Especially at the breakfast buffet, Christophe was very hospitable and took care of us. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the view from the window is not so good. I think it's always for a hotel room in the center of Paris.

Stunning rooms, fabulous location dire moments!!

Welcome - Warm welcome from front desk and the guest relations manager popped out to say hello, which was a nice touch. Check in was busy but the process swift. Room - We had two stunning rooms (suites) which were well appointed and exceptionally quite give the location. Housekeeping where excellent throughout in both rooms - no complaints at all on the rooms. Bar- again a great welcome and the mixologist made some stunning cocktails - if you do choose this hotel the cocktail of the day was amazing! Concereige - Disappointing, we a wanted to experience a traditional fromagerie and where sent to the big dept store (equivlant of Harrods or selfridges in London) we also paid premium for Effiel tower tickets with a guide, the guide walked us to the tower from the meeting point and through secuirty. (Avoid - book early way cheaper!) We asked for restaurant recommendations again disappointed. Breakfast - this really let the whole experience down for us,( we have been spoilt by Sofitel london) good selection of buffet style but not on par with other Sofitels at all, limited cooked egg options, the omelette was bland, there was no Eggs Royal for example, no hollandaise sauce apparently. No waffles, the crepe looked sorry for itself. Fresh fruits seasonal thus limited. Tea service slow and incorrect. Make your own toast, (not that price thank you!) We had informed before arrival that we were vegetarian - this was not accomodated despite multiple requests until the last day. We discussed this with guest services and no one came back to us. If your looking for a wonderful room in a wonderful location go in a heartbeat, if you like the frills this is not it at all.

Our 3rd stay in 5 months and we wouldnt stay anywhere else. Beds are ridiculously comfortable, attention to detail is fabulous. The staff at the hotel are so friendly and welcoming we look forward to checking in. Restaurant and bar are both brilliant for both families and couples. The Hotel is located in the Opera area so central but also quiet and relaxing. Thank you we are very much looking forward to coming back again. xxx

Exquisite accommodations and wonderful staff. I want that bed, pillows, comforter, and those linens! Very plush. The staff was lovely. I requested an iron and ironing board and that was sent to my room within minutes. The restaurant team, particularly Christophe, was so accommodating. I chose to eat from the breakfast buffet and Christophe wanted to give me something special. He asked if I liked mango and so every morning, I had fresh mango waiting for me. We booked through a Tauck Tour - which was also an amazing experience.

This hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. Every morning at breakfast, I’m warmly greeted by the staff member Christophe, who even speaks a bit of Chinese. He’s incredibly friendly and sweet; it really warms my heart. It’s definitely a hotel I’d want to revisit.
