All the staff was very courteous and eager to be of assistance. We felt welcomed. Alas, for a five star hotel, there are some things I need to share, as I don't believe they should happen at this level. 1. On our first evening, at the spa, there were no towels, nor was there anyone to ask help. A fellow guest was kind enough to go up to reception and ask for it. We also did not get any slippers. 2. Again on our first evening, I couldn't get a draft beer because there was no gas. These are things management should plan fort in advance. 3. At breakfast, there was fresh fruit, in that, there was a pineapple decorating the room. Surely we don't have to cut it ourselves (I cut them myself at home, though) 4. The scrambled eggs and meat ware were luke warm. Pancakes were outright cold. Surely staff should know to check these things in advance. 5. Valet service of the car... well, since I asked (and paid) for it, I had hoped the charging cable would be nicely rewound. Instead it was chucked inside the boot. Also, it might have been a courtesy to just wash the windscreen. Someone who asks for the service will appreciate it. I would have. Missed opportunity this. We stayed two nights and then passed to your colleagues in Barr, 5Terres hotel. There we had slippers and spa towels in the room. There was fresh fruit, all cut up. There was an 'egg-menu', where the cook prepared to order. So if we compare, we cannot but feel a tad disappointed in our stay in Troyes.

The rooms are well appointed and we had a very comfortable stay. The staff are always happy to help with any requests. They all speak very good English too. The breakfast was excellent.

We have stayed in the hotel many times. It is always excellent. This time it was our forst time with our small dog and the location of the hotel made it perfect. It is in central Troyes, yet just 5 minuts away there is a small park and lots of green spaces to go for a morning walk with a four legged friend - a rarity in French cities which are often like concrete jungles. Super recomennded.
