It took more than 2 hours to allocate right room for me. There was no locker, access card was not working due to batteries down, TV remote was not working and the bathroom tap water had too low pressure.

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the recent experiences I have had during my stay at the Ibis Hotel Chennai. During my time here, I have noticed some alarming lapses in the hotel's food handling and hygiene practices, particularly in the dining area. It has come to my attention that there is a serious oversight in the process for handling both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items. Despite clear guidelines and industry standards, it appears that the staff, particularly in the kitchen, are not following proper procedures. Specifically, I observed a staff member handling non-vegetarian food item without washing their hands thoroughly before proceeding to touch vegetarian food items. This lack of hygiene is not only unsanitary but also poses a serious risk to guests who adhere to strict vegetarian diets. As a pure vegetarian myself, I found this disregard for basic food safety practices deeply troubling and unacceptable. Moreover, the lack of hygiene extends beyond the kitchen. I was shocked to discover that the room cleaning staff do not wash their hands after cleaning the toilet facilities. Instead, they proceed to handle clean towels and make the bed without proper sanitation measures. This negligence is not only a violation of basic hygiene standards but also raises serious questions about the overall cleanliness and safety of the hotel environment. As a guest, I expect a certain level of cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards from a reputable hotel chain like Ibis. However, my recent experiences have left me feeling incredibly disappointed and concerned. It is disheartening to see such lapses in food handling and hygiene practices, which are fundamental to the hospitality industry. I urge you to take immediate action to address these issues and implement stringent protocols to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Guests deserve to feel confident in the cleanliness and safety of the hotel they choose to stay in, and it is imperative that Ibis Hotel Chennai upholds the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
