Terrible Experience at Peppers Beach Club - Rude, Incompetent and Unhygienic

I had a terrible experience at Peppers Beach Club Port Douglas. Upon entering our room, it had a musty smell that suggested it hadn’t been aired out in years. To make matters worse, the sheets were stained, looking disturbingly like blood. The room phone didn’t work, and when I tried calling the front desk from my mobile, no one answered after three attempts. We eventually had to walk down to the front desk to get the stained sheets replaced. I was staying for work for two nights, but our reservation was split into two separate bookings without any explanation. The staff didn’t mention this at check-in, and after our first night, we were abruptly told to vacate the room immediately. When I spoke with the front desk supervisor, she confirmed we were booked for two nights, but insisted we’d have to move to a different room because of the split reservation. When I asked if they could adjust the bookings so we could stay in our room, I was denied. They said incoming guests were expecting the room right away. Feeling shocked and upset, I quickly packed up our belongings and stored them in our car before returning to the front desk. The supervisor showed very little concern for our situation, and when I pointed out that this was their mistake, she didn’t seem to take responsibility. I explained that we were there for work and I needed to leave to see a client in 15 minutes, as we were using the room as a base. She told us we’d have to wait until 2 PM to check back in, but they could hold our luggage for us. Disgusted, I decided to cancel the second night instead of being ejected from our room and then forced to wait to check back in. We quickly found another place to stay for the rest of the day and night. Additionally, I’d like to mention our experience ordering drinks and snacks by the pool on our first day. The staff tossed the food onto our table without a word, and the plate hit the table with enough force to draw attention from other guests. I noticed at least three other tables received the same careless treatment. We paid good money for a hotel that should take care of its guests, and this is not the kind of service you expect. My company used to regularly book stays at Peppers Beach Club for work trips, but after this experience, that will no longer be the case. I’m still shocked by the lack of accountability from the staff and management. This has easily been one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had, and I’ve stayed in some pretty bad places. If you’re considering a stay at Peppers Beach Club Port Douglas, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Ho soggiornato qui per 3 notti,la mia camera era una one bedroom suite,una sorta di mini appartamento bello grande con un bel terrazzo che affacciava sulla piscina. La posizione è ottima,ma l'ho trovato un albergo per famiglie con molti bambini piccoli. Scelto solo per la posizione,non per la privacy e per l'eleganza.

Albergo molto bello e vicino alla spiaggia. Da notare che nei mesi estivi australiani (nostro inverno) il bagno nell'oceano non si può fare a causa della presenza di meduse potenzialmente mortali. Questo fatto riguarda le acque calde del nord del continente. Le escursioni alla grande barriera e il bagno si possono comunque fare indossando apposite mute. La via principale con negozi e ristoranti dista 5 minuti a piedi. Buona e variata la colazione, personale disponibile e cortese. Camere standard non tanto grandi ma ben arredate e con vari comfort. Alcune osservazioni che potrebbero rendere ancora migliore l'esperienza in questo hotel. La pulizia delle camere e aree comuni era buona, purtroppo quella de balcone no. La divisione messa davanti all'idromassaggio era decisamente sporca. Inoltre la bellissima piscina apre alle 07 del mattino, e a quell'ora vi sono già bambini che a pieni polmoni strillano e si tuffano. Dove non arriva il buon senso di alcuni genitori dovrebbe intervenire lo staff per il buon rispetto di tutti gli ospiti.

Eravamo in viaggio di nozze, di passaggio e purtroppo abbiamo soggiornato solamente 2 notti. Sarebbe stato meglio una settimana. All'arrivo ci era stata preparata la nostra suite con Spa all'interno, con una precisione e pulizia maniacale. Una bella bottiglia di champagne e due bicchieri ci attendevano all'arrivo per il benvenuto. Sistemati i bagagli in camera da un addetto dell'hotel molto gentile, abbiamo aperto la finestra della suite che dava sulla piscina comune. Uno spettacolo. Piscina con acqua salina e sabbia corallina per simulare un ambiente da spiaggia. Ci sono riusciti alla grande. Peccato per le persone che occupano le sdraio e se ne vanno nonostante ci fosse il divieto. Il ristorante è situato a bordo piscina ed è possibile fare il bagno fino alle 21 (cosa che abbiamo fatto). Nessuna nota negativa solo tutto bello e consigliatissimo per relax in completo lusso.
