We had a fantastic time at the Portsea. Lovely staff, clean room, and the pools were amazing. We will definitely return.

Colonial Vibes, Lagoon Pool, and a Memorable Family Stay

When we parked the car in front of the lobby, it gave vibes of British colonial architecture, with high ceilings and large arched framing throughout the villa, and white-washed walls. It felt like a British aristocrat entering a tropical Asian country for their duties. I am not an aristocrat or British, just a family enjoying what North Queensland provides us during the wet season for 8 nights. We arrived at 11am and had quite a surprise when we heard our room was ready. Check-in was smooth; the only slight hiccup was that the booking didn’t show the two kids we had under the reservation. Initially, I thought I had made a mistake with my booking, but something had gone wrong between my booking on the Accor website and the information received by the hotel. Since we booked a two-bedroom apartment, this wasn’t a problem. As Accor members, we had complimentary drinks, which meant we were able to enjoy virgin mojitos from the pool bar. The apartment was modern, with a two-cooktop induction cooker and a microwave. It doesn’t have an oven, washing machine, or dryer like Mantra Esplanade, but you can use their laundry to wash and dry for $5 per load. The highlight of the stay was the lagoon pool, which my son enjoyed and was the first to enter as soon as it opened. If you get bored with the pool, you can always walk to Four Mile Beach (I would say this is the best-looking beach in the entire Australia), which is only 100m from the hotel. Overall, a great experience. As a family, Mantra PortSea gave us a great start to 2026.

Un hotel di quella categoria e di quelle proporzioni che non ha un ascensore e che non prevede la pulizia della camera non è accettabile! La signorina dello staff che ci ha seguito al ceck in era svogliata e poco professionale. La camera non aveva l'accesso diretto alla piscina come previsto e c'era forte odore di umidità. Inoltre nonostante la grandezza non c'era spazio per appoggiare ed aprire le valigie, abbiamo dovuto spostare dei mobili per poterci organizzare con i bagagli.Non consiglio questo hotel perché in Port Douglas si può sicuramente trovare di meglio!

All guest amenities and room towels can be replaced FOC upon request, as outlined in our Guest Welcome Pack. Our 'Hotel' rooms are our standard room type, with measurements of the room and features listed on our website. Guests find these the perfect option for shorter stays, and as a cost-effective option to allow for more spending on activities and dining in Port Douglas. We hope you enjoyed the beaches, restaurants and beautiful scenery of Port Douglas.

Siamo stati in questo htl per 6 notti, non ci hanno mai pulito la Camera, cambiato gli asciugamani per carità che indecenza. La nostra stanza dava sulla piccola vasca idromassaggio dotato di angolo barbecue...impossibile aprire le finestra dalla puzza di arrosto schiamazzi di bambini, armadio rotto doccia sporca. Alla reception ragazzine poco gentili. Colazione nella media. Mai più

Magico,elegante e tranquillo.attaccato al mare , ci si arriva attraverso un viale strapieno di piante tropicali e uccelli bellissimi. Si arriva in spiaggia ....e che spiaggia....ricca di palme e sabbia chiara ....spiaggia immensa e mare bellissimo. Tranquillità e bellezza si apprezzano a port . Hotel pulito con possibilità di fare il bbq.tante piscine e bar sulla piscina...ti servono mentre sei in acqua. Ingresso resort spettacolare
