Mantra On The Inlet

Great Location and staff very helpful (even though not on site). Room a little run down but still very pleasant and would stay again when next in Port Douglas. Hotel close to all amenities and within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and markets on the weekend.

Unfortunately our stay at the Manta has been more than disappointing. The rooms and TV’s were very small and we had very bad TV reception. The property was not staffed and we had difficulty reporting a fault with our air conditioning. When we did finally report it, we had to call back three times before they said they had fixed it. Turns out, it wasn’t fixed. We woke during the night to water from the air conditioner leaking and spraying over our bed and face. We had to move the bed to find that water was and had been running down the wall for some time. The wall was dirty and stained. We have stayed in many different places in Port Douglas before and never had such a disappointing experience. On top of all that, our room was not served for the 6 days that we stayed. We were forced to buy our own toilet paper and additional soap. My daughter, who was staying for an additional 2 nights was also refused room servicing, which was only supplied after I rang and complained. I will never stay with Manta again.

Such a great location, everything is all within walking distance. The standard of our room and ammenities was well finished. Also the whole town is buzzing again with tourists. All the restaurants in town are open again, and all within a 5 minute walk. Would definitely recommend this location for anyone looking for a great place to relax and unwind.

This suite hotel is in the heart of Port Douglas with easy access to all the restaurants, bars and attractions of Part Douglas. The suite we had was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, we didnt cook but I am sure that we could have done easily. Interestingly we had room 201 and while we could hear the noise from outside it wasn't an issue and we certainly didnt hear the Iron Bar below. They really need to fix the baggage lift as it seems to have been out of action for over 2 years. There appears to be no access at all for those with mobility impairments.

The unit was well equipped and in a great location. Quite noisy at night time and our room (201) was right next door to the Iron Bar Restaurant, which transforms into a night club 3 nights a week until 2am, so earplugs are a must! The apartment was tidy but the timbers shutters were totally covered in dust. The bathroom could also do with an update with rotting wood at the bottom of the vanity.
