Great pools & staff but rest is dated

This is a tough one to review, as there are good however there are bad . We love Australia & have been blessed to enjoy family breaks over the past 15 years. The layout of this apartment is almost ridiculous! As a family of 11 with 5 rooms we were all on different floors , & locations No problem however in this place it was awful. We were not alone with lots of people also feeling lost & unsure of where to go. Our room was ok although probably the 2nd worst of all our stays in Oz . Only ONE towel given each for our 5 night stay, no tea towels at all. Within 10mins of walking around our room (51) our feet were really dirty so I grabbed some cleaner & mopped the floors- 3 of the other rooms said the floors felt dirty also ) Positives - wonderful staff , great pools & a swim up bar . We enjoyed Port Douglas however for the price would not stay here again .But it’s a great place for a young family or a couple.

During check in our valued guests are issued with a map of the resort to help navigate around. We appreciate that some may find this a little overwhelming and a challenge to find their way around the resort initially. Our friendly Reception team are always here to assist any guests. We are glad that your interactions with our team was positive. Regarding your comments about towels and tea towels, rooms are generally not serviced daily for short stays of 3 days or less. We are open and transparent about this across all websites and travel agent platforms. In addition, the Cairns and Port Douglas regions has experienced ongoing supply issues with our linen supplier over the past few months and as a direct result has impacted a number of properties and supply shortages of hotel linen. Whilst it is not an excuse for service lapses you mention, we do want to highlight that the supply of linen from our provider is not always in our control. We think our Resort is a great place for anyone to explore the Port Douglas and Daintree regions however we accept and acknowledge that it wasn't the right place for you this time round. Should you decide to return to property again in the future, we have no doubt that your next stay experience will be a better one and we would be delighted to welcome you back again and help change your perception of us and restore your faith in us. Hotel is a health hazard

This hotel is a disgrace- it’s filthy and rooms are ridden with bugs , mold and unsanitary conditions. Had to endure 5 days in what arguably a health hazard with staff that were either incompetent or indifferent to every aspect of hotel and hospitality management. The initial room we were provided was so rank with a stale mold smell that we were moved to another suite which was just as bad - and the bed sheets and pillows had so much dried blood that one would wonder if someone had been murdered there - we found it inconceivable that housekeeping would put those sheets into a clean room. The irony is this hotel does not provide any housekeeping for stays less than eight days… Which is evident by the cleanliness throughout. This hotel is well past its prime and either they consider a total renovation or should burn it down, if you have any basic living standards and value your money - don’t stay at this hotel- I would also like to acknowledge the over night desk attendant- believe his name was Brett - who might have been the rudest, angry person I have ever encountered through my travels- he went out of his way to make our stay less enjoyable ….and has absolutely no business in a front of house position….

Clearly, we have fallen short to meet your stay experience expectations and certainly is not our usual high standard we aim to deliver to our valued guests. We sincerely apologise for the service lapses you make mention. As we are positioned in a wet tropics environment it is always possible that insects may make their way into some rooms occasionally however, rest assured, we have a robust pest control program in place to mitigate any activity. Regarding servicing of Rooms, as you mentioned in your extensive feedback, we provide housekeeping services for stays of 8 days or more and limited towel changes for stays above 3 days. For shorter stays of 3 days or less unfortunately room servicing is not provided. We are very open and transparent regarding this across all travel agent platforms and websites. Had you an expectation of daily rooms servicing then we understand your disappointment, however we understand that after discussion with your travel agent, your travel agent allowed for daily servicing which was fulfilled. We apologise that this impacted your overall stay experience. Your comments have also been shared with our Front Office Manager to further investigate. We don’t actually have any team member called Brett but shall look into further. Your feedback, whilst critical, is nonetheless greatly appreciated as it is only through such feedback that we can address any concerns or feedback that may have otherwise been overlooked. Should you allow us an opportunity to make amends in the future, rest assured we will do all we can to look after you and restore your faith in us. Pleasant resort

We had a pleasant stay at this resort, the dual key rooms were a good set up, very comfortable and good pool view. The staff and amenities were very good and the resort is located nice and close to the town and beach. The staff were all friendly and professional, the only thing lacking in this resort is the food. Continental breakfast is not good value and pool bar selection is very limited. But most of the time this doesn’t matter that much being to so close to the main town.

Terrible!!! Dirty, uncomfortable, moldy, needs major revamp! No care taken in cleaning or decor of this apartment. No rug in lounge - bad set up of lounge area. Couldn't open balcony door - Very dusty and dirty - Rusty clothes rack - Needs Work!!!!

Hotel todo reformado, áreas espaçosas, uma boa piscina com bar, quadra de tênis e mesa de sinuca. O quarto (ficamos em um apartamento com 2 quartos) é bem grande com área de estar e sacada amplos e banheiro com hidromassagem. Sugestão: procure quartos no térreo que tem saída direta para a piscina.
