Love this hotel - But not the club lounge!

We have stayed many times here and love the staff and the hotel. However, the Club lounge was a waste of money and would not book again. The new locations is at the end of the corridor, by the ballroom. The food was the worst we have seen in any lounge, and did not expect this in a 5 star hotel.At weekends there was no a la carte breakfast just the buffet, which was dry and unappealing. The evening food was so bad, we had a wine and left. The cold food selection was sliced ham and cheese and not even any crackers! We paid over $200 for the upgrade and would not do again. We did speak to the manager and explained how unhappy we were and they have given us an upgrade if we return.

Fantastic stay, amazing service from great staff. Very clean and well attended to the entire stay. The room was maintained very well and my items were well looked after my entire stay. The pass to the virgin active gym was also a great addition.

I have always stayed at Sofitel and had an exceptional experience, particularly thanks to the amazing staff at Club Millesime. Aricia, Yaini, Moire, Irene, and Ben went above and beyond to make my family and me feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail truly made all the difference. They even remembered my favorite tea, which added a wonderfully personal touch to our visits. The level of service they provided was outstanding, and they made our stay feel like a home away from home. I cannot thank them enough and highly recommend Sofitel, especially with the incredible team at Club Millesime. Thank you for making our stay unforgettable!

From my arrival at 6:30 AM and my room being ready as requested through the wonderful food and the beautiful pool it was just an enjoyable stay in a clean, modern quiet urban hotel. The breakfast buffet is expansive and delicious. Finally the location of the hotel is extremely convenient literally on top of a shopping plaza and a metro station.

Overcharging credit card and no refund

My husband and I were in room 1312 for 3 nights in the first week of October. Our credit card was swiped upon check in, for an amount higher than the total room charge for the stay - as a standard practice with all hotels. Usually hotels wouldnt process this transaction and would charge the actual amount upon checkout. Not Sofitel. They decided to process the higher amount and said they would give us a refund back. Nearly 2 weeks since we checked out and I have yet the see the refund. The Senior Duty Manager appeared to be responsive at initial contact and as a reassurance, promised to provide proof that the refund has been processed, but since then has gone quiet. I have yet to see any proof that the refund has been made, or the actual refund itself. This left an extremely bitter taste to the whole experience esp we already had an unpleasant stay in the first place, as was noted by the Guest Relations Director, Ms Harris. I don't recommend this hotel at all.
