The team was great, friendly and responsive. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the room. When we checked we discovered the sink was blocked. There was no cold water in the tap. Quickly fixed the next day but should not happen in a 5 star hotel. We also thought the shower pressure was very low and got worse. The aircon control did not work properly ( I did bring this up with reception, we just turned it off) and one of the night light was broken. Finally, we felt the beds were small, we were short guys so no drama but if I was above six foot it would be a problem. Anyway, service of the team made up for it somewhat.

My stay at Pullman Cape Town City Centre during the rugby match was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the energy throughout the hotel was incredible, and the hospitality from the entire team made us feel excited for the game and made our stay both enjoyable and memorable. A special mention must go to Achumile and Jose at Reception. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine eagerness to assist really stood out. When I arrived, there was a small hiccup regarding my room, but despite the reception area being extremely busy, Achumile took the time to personally assist me. She even accompanied me to my room and helped with my luggage. As an older gentleman travelling, that kind of care and kindness meant a great deal to me. Achumile was such a lovely young lady, and it was unfortunate that she was not around when we checked out because she truly took care of me throughout my stay. I would also like to give a very special mention to Anathi from the restaurant. She is an absolutely amazing young lady incredibly kind, intelligent, warm, and very pleasant to interact with. When I ordered room service, she delivered my food with a genuine smile and went beyond simply delivering the meal by taking the time to engage me in conversation. She was smart, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcomed and valued as a guest. Her kindness, confidence, attention to detail, and ability to make a guest feel comfortable really stood out to me. Sometimes it is the small conversations and genuine smiles that stay with you long after you leave a hotel, and Anathi certainly made that impression on me. These personal touches made a huge difference and are exactly what hospitality should be about. Achumile, Jose, Anathi, and the entire Pullman team were friendly, helpful, welcoming, and genuinely eager to assist whenever needed. Pullman Cape Town has an amazing team, and these wonderful staff members in particular made my stay special. I left feeling well looked after and with wonderful memories of my rugby weekend. Our room was acceptable for our 5 night stay Loved the comfy chairs which many accommodation providers forget to provide. Our shower hose leeked badly and we did inform the staff but it wasn't repaired. The staff were super efficient, always polite and happy to assist with any inquiry made to them.

I was assigned a room with no hot water, just lukewarm, so now i had to go to another room to take a bath. I was then moved to another room, still similar issue.

Sandy handled the check-in and check-out for both of my stays, and she was absolutely lovely! She even arranged a welcome drink to celebrate my friend’s birthday, which was really impressive and such a nice touch. The bell staff and other team members were also very attentive. However, housekeeping was quite slow. Some requests took over an hour, and a few required me to call up to three times, such as requesting extra towels (we had the DND on, so we had to request them afterwards). Also, having only one lift caused quite a bit of inconvenience. Sometimes we had to wait up to 5 minutes for the lift, which was a little frustrating.

The overall experience was a good one. Staff at front desk were very warm and welcoming. The porter/bellboy was very nice and we had our luggage in our rooms before we even got to the rooms. We were upgraded as I am a gold member, and there were bottles of Bubbly and chocolates for us. These were very nice touches. However the rooms and the bathrooms were a little tired and dated as per our liking. The shower area wasn’t the bedside in design, the partial shower glass meant every time the kids had a shower there was water on the floor which was a slipping hazard.

Our experience was absolutely wonderful, and the kindness of the staff was truly out of this world. From the moment we arrived, everyone we encountered was approachable, friendly, and genuinely willing to help, assist wherever they could, and find a solution whenever we needed something. One evening, I needed some milk for my daughter, and Robyn at reception kindly arranged for it to be sent to our room while it was still warm. That small gesture meant so much to me. It was incredibly thoughtful and made us feel right at home. The staff were all amazing, but I would especially like to mention Anathi from the ground-floor bar. She is such an amazing person and truly does what she does not simply because it is her job, but because she genuinely loves what she does. One morning, she served us coffee and left such a wonderful impression on us. We were even touched when she politely declined our tip. It was a small moment, but it showed us how genuinely passionate she is about what she does and how much pride she takes in her work. Achumile was exceptionally patient and helpful, especially despite the language barrier. Even when I struggled to explain exactly what I needed, she took the time to understand me and made sure I was properly assisted. Her patience, kindness, and willingness to help really stood out. We will definitely be coming back again. The staff are amazing, the hospitality is exceptional, and it is clear that the people here genuinely care about their guests. Thank you to everyone who made our stay feel so warm, welcoming, and special.
