Overnight stay before we catch the Spirit home & I can’t fault the accommodation & staff. Easy check in with valet parking for our fully loaded car. Our corner room overlooking the park was lovely and extra special due to the community Xmas concert. I really liked having a balcony but would have been happier with a seat to sit & read my book. The room was very well designed and spacious. Definitely will be back on next trip.

We’ve become regular clients at Novotel Devonport and always enjoyed the experience - great location, magnificent river and parklands outlook and terrific rooms that are well equipped. Staff have always been welcoming but showed extra special attention and compassion after my wife had a serious accident in a nearby street. They provided towel, got our car out of valet parking very quickly and gave us directions to the after hours medical clinic after we declined an ambulance. Several hours later when we returned they organised ice and a room service meal. Exemplary service which was greatly appreciated.

2 night family stay at end of Tassie holiday

We spent two nights here at the end of our month-long trip around Tassie. It was nice to have a comfortable, clean room in Devonport before heading home. Simple room with basic creature comforts, and two comfortable beds. Easy walking distance to lots of food options.

I can't fault this hotel. Accor status recognised with drink vouchers for the bar (house wine, tap beer, coffee or tea) and fresh baked cookies in the room. Late check-out was no problem and all staff at reception were efficient and welcoming. We were there on a Saturday night and parked on the street with no issue. Room 243 is a corner room, it's spotless, spacious, has a fantastic outlook, balcony and twin beds (with a plush mattress). We dined in the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and loved it. Vegan options are not marked on the menu but the wait staff were lovely and know the menu, so asking for a vegan meal was no issue.

Upon arriving at the hotel, my wife and I were greeted by a very cheerful lady behind the reception. Given our room access cards and plenty of info regarding the hotel and surrounds, we proceeded up the elevator to our room. I’d booked a King room with disability access. The room was exactly what I asked for with plenty of room. Having said that, there was one thing that irked both myself and my wife, and that was the hideous colour of the carpet throughout the whole hotel. It was atrocious and made the place feel & look dirty. We definitely have plans of staying there again and would easily tell our friends and family to book there also.
