This hotel has automatic check in kiosks, but good service if required. The lifts can be very busy to get to your room, however we found the room quiete and well soundproofed. our room was directly opposite the lifts, hoever the sound from outside or suitcases in the hallways was minimal. the bathroom was clean and tidy, and the bed was comfy. location is superb. I would stay here again.

Fabulous motel rooms are spacious and comfortable The staff are VERY welcoming and helpful ask for a room with a view of the river and the city. You are only a 2 minute walk too the promenade along the river with cafes and Restaurants and a 3 minute walk too Flinders Street Station and Trams

I stayed 3 nights however my room was only made up twice & in saying that the bed made up properly with the sheets clearly not straighten out & covers just thrown over. The bathroom was old but adequate with mould in the shower recess. The room itself big & comfortable.

At time of visit (Boxing Day) and coinciding with the Boxing Day five day cricket match, the hotel was fully booked (patrons can walk from the hotel to the MCG). As such, we venture to observe the following: the Reception was not attended full time, leaving incoming guests to either self-serve check in using consoles, or wait until a staff member materialised from the office to assist. Our room was cleaned on the second day, not every day as usual (though our broken kettle was replaced rapidly). As we stayed during the holiday season, the deconstruction site located directly adjacent to the hotel was not operating. When the six large jackhammers are operating to break up concrete, the noise must be horrendous (not including concrete dust etc), so we assume the windows are double glazed. However, whilst the adjacent building is being demolished, the rooms river side enjoy an excellent view of the river, the city and likely NYE’s fireworks. But when the new building is finished, we assume the view will be blocked (as it used to be). Still, the hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Southbank and across the river from Flinders Street railway station.
