Incredible service and very comfortable rooms! I have spend a fair bit of time in Seoul and never stayed at the Mondrian before and I must say that I will be back. The standard of the food Cleo is fantastic, would be good to see more variety for breakfast and the rooftop bar had a great atmosphere and the cocktails were very good. Swimming pool is stunning but thought it was a bit strange to charge for the sauna…? Regardless I will be back

Got a superb upgrade at check in with my partner with generous amenities. Location in Itaewon make it very attractive for night life and dining venues options. Staff is friendly and always keen to help. Parking is free. Generosity and sense of hospitality summarize well this property

Terrible Experience at Mondrian Seoul – Far from 5 Star Quality

Stayed at Mondrian Seoul for 7 days, expecting a 5 star experience, but it turned out to be a nightmare. On my first night, my room had a severe leak that soaked my toiletries, bags, and personal items. The hotel staff seemed completely unbothered by the situation, offering no immediate solution. When I went to the front desk the next day to pick up a new room key, the service was shockingly indifferent. They handed me a card without any explanation . No mention of my new room number, no update on whether my belongings had been moved, and no apology for the inconvenience. This lack of communication and professionalism was disappointing for any hotel, let alone one claiming a five-star rating. I wish I had paid attention to the numerous negative Google reviews about their poor service. Mondrian Seoul failed to meet even basic standards, leaving me to question how it holds a five-star rating. For those expecting quality and attentive service, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere, as this hotel does not deliver on its promises.

A good experience My stay was overall pleasant. I stayed 4 nights on a lapse of 2 times 7-10 and 13-14 October. On my first stay, the man (I forgot his name) at the reception was not exactly rude, but he was not welcoming or nice at all, not even a welcome greeting. He seemed extremely rushed to check me in and even spoke very quickly, and I could barely understand what he said. On my second stay, the woman at the front desk (I think her name is Yumi) was very kind and patient. The room was spotless and nice-looking. Room cleaning was good every day. As I was travelling with my mother, the design of the room design was a little bit uncomfortable because the bathroom (toilet and shower) has no privacy. Good amenities in the room, shampoo, cream, and a bottle of water every day The beds and pillows are comfortable. The smell in the room hallways is unpleasant (maybe there's bad plumbing) and the carpets looked dirty. (8th and 7th floor) There are only 2 elevators available for most guests and I guess you have to pay more or be a premium member to use 1 elevator, that's funny because it's really not practical since there are very few elevators for all guests. Mobility for all guests should be a priority. The first-floor entrance decor for the premium elevator looks really tacky, like an entrance to a nightclub. The view from my room (the first stay) was nice, looking at Namsan Tower. I enjoyed the breakfast every day at Cleo, I also had dinner one day at Cleo and the food was really good. I recommend the restaurant for dinner too. Service at Cleo was good and everyone was very kind. The hotel has a CU convenience store in the basement and there is also a 7-Eleven and a Starbucks across the street. I personally liked the location of the hotel: Close walking to the bus stop that takes you to the city center. Close walking to Itaewon main street where there are shops and restaurants Close walking to Banpo Bridge and Han River. I enjoyed going out for a run late at night to Han River, it's close. The guys at the main entrance were very kind and helpful, they helped us get a taxi and even helped us sort out directions with the taxi driver. I would be back on my own for sure.
