n.b this review is for the mountain side section of the resort hotel, the beach side section is excellent. The welcome we received on arrival was appaling. Had to lift my own case onto security scanner belt, as staff watching couldnt be bothered. We checked in and were told we could use the restaurant straight away We went to our room left our luggage and went to dine . We had our first course, then were approached by restaurant staff saying we had to pay for our meal. I said this wasnt a problem as we had booked room only. WE started to eat our main course and were then surrounded by 3x staff and restaurant manager demanding we pay immeadiatly. I siad i would have to go to my room to get money, which I did. We were then presented with a bill for $64 . The booking website clearly stated total cost of evening meal and breakfast was $34. So I objected to this and asked to see the hotel manager. I had to go up to main reception, were the manager explained these were not the "proper" prices due to "plus plus". I asked how on earth the price could be double that advertised, he replied government taxes. I disagreed that taxes could double the price and in any case the website had cleary advertised a fixed price. Eventually we agreed on a compramise. I then returned to the dining area to get my desert. I then had my dish removed whilst my spoon was in mid air "restaurant closed now" said waiter. Absolute disgrace and totally unacceptable way to treat guests. Thankfully the day after we were moving to the beach side of the complex

WE GOT ROBBED AT THE SPA BY EMPLOYEES OF HOTEL. We came to visit the hotel on Naama bay because we wanted to swim. In the area we were staying the wind was too strong but naama bay was quiet and warm. We paid for a day pass. Long story short, the employees of the hotel, from SPA approached us for massage. We decided to use the services of massage during which the employees covered our head with a towel. We couldn’t see anything. Later on we figured that during this practice those spa employees went through our pockets and stole cash we had with us. It was 300 dollars. It was unfortunately too late when we noticed the money being stolen, because we had to catch a flight. But overall, terrible experience. Stealing money from customers. I hope karma pays back :)

Hotel Review – Extremely Disappointing First Trip to Egypt

I booked this hotel for my mother and my godmother, and since it was their first time in Egypt, I truly wanted them to have a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be very disappointing. First of all, the hotel is divided into two separate areas: one in the mountain zone and one on the beach. All the photos online are from the beach area, but the booking specified the mountain area with a garden view, which is misleading. I didn’t choose the all-inclusive option because they had heard that prices in Egypt are very cheap, and since they planned to spend most of the day at the beach, they thought they could simply buy something from the nearby shops or go to a restaurant. For just one tea and a few biscuits, they paid 10€, which is shocking. The nearby shops also don’t offer any fruits or vegetables except mango, only local sweets, and no prices are displayed, which makes everything uncomfortable. Breakfast officially ends at 10 AM, but at 9 AM the staff are already taking everything away. They even replaced their plastic cup with a paper one straight out of their hands, which felt very disrespectful. And because they didn’t have the all-inclusive bracelet, every time they passed through the restaurant area to exit the building, the staff stared at them as if they were thieves, which was humiliating and extremely unpleasant. Because of this pressure, they ended up having to pay 52€ per day to upgrade to all-inclusive. They also tried going to a nicer restaurant in a nearby resort, but that wasn’t allowed — staff immediately checked their bracelet and sent them back. Overall, their first trip to Egypt was stressful instead of enjoyable. The misleading photos, unfriendly attitude, uncomfortable atmosphere, and overpriced nearby shops made the entire experience disappointing. I cannot recommend this hotel.

During our stay, it was evident that the property requires substantial renovation. The wing we occupied appears to have gone decades without meaningful upkeep, yet it is marketed in Sweden as a 4‑star hotel; in reality, it doesn’t reach 3 stars, and the section across the main road (away from the sea) would merit at most 2 stars. The room’s plumbing was outdated and the water pressure consistently weak; on one evening it was impossible to shower at all. Food options were meager, the fruit inedible, and cutlery, plates, and napkins were frequently missing in the restaurant. The quality of both drinks and food was poor. When concerns were raised, staff responses were often dismissive or rude. Breakfast on the terrace was not feasible due to flies and large numbers of crows. Tables were not cleaned promptly, and dirty dishes with food scraps could remain for up to 15 minutes, which attracted pests. Overall, this was the worst hotel I have stayed in during 35 years of traveling.
