We love staying at this hotel as it has easy access to Southern Cross and tram routes. Also has a decent pool and spa. Rooms excellent as always and staff are all lovely. We always enjoy a drink in the bar to people watch at the busy intersection of Bourke & Spencer. Chocolate hour is a nice bonus and the new time of 2pm is much better. Breakfast has improved so much since our last stay and we enjoyed the selections. My only negative is that butter, jams and Vegemite are in jars and not in individual serves. It’s disgusting as people do not use fresh serving ware so full of crumbs etc. Change this aspect of our next stay and I will be happy!

This is the perfect choice for a short stay in the CBD right across the Spencer station. Very well connected from the airport via the SKYBUS or other modes of transport. This Movenpick hotel is head & shoulders above almost all the hotels in the mid luxury class & would rate it a 4 star for its excellent staff, service, room comfort, pool & the gym & value for money Also we were happy with the cafe bar facilities. Nothing to fault here & highly recommend to any couples or family in the city for events, functions or for a weekend stay

We were staying for 3 nights to see Oasis & go to the Derby at Flemington, the check in was very easy & a pleasant surprise that a deposit isn't taken The room itself is clean the bathroom has an overhead shower head & wand it's a little small but had everything we wanted, the mini bar only had 6 drinks & no water just sparkling. The location is perfect just outside Southern Cross station which meant you can shop at the outlets, take out food & restaurants, bars, mini marts or get a train. The only thing we were a little disappointed with was the restaurant breakfast buffet was pretty luke warm & I thought the large share plates were small for $49 overall I would consider staying again.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and its the best hotel in Melbourne, the staff are so friendly especially Pete, Lilly & Tina. These three ladies are very good at their job and make you feel welcome at the hotel. On my last visit it was the day after my birthday and Pete organised a treat for my room from the kitchen. I enjoy staying at this hotel as it feels clean and the rooms are well organised and the cleaning staff do their best to keep your room tidy and clean during your visit. Public transport is a short walk across to Southern Cross for trains or Bourke, Collins or Flinders Street for a tram to the outer suburbs of Melbourne. This is the only hotel to stay at in Melbourne.

WINS *`* You cannot question how great the location is in Melbourne- there is a railway station that takes you to every part of Victoria across the road, and a tram stop right out the front so you can explore the city. *`*The customer service was exceptionally professional. *`* The room has everything you will require for a stay- including a comfortable sofa. *-* The products in the bathroom were amazing. I would use those products at home if I knew where to procure them. AVERAGE *~*Bed was reasonable. I slept badly for a few nights - exceptionally for one night- and averagely for the last. *`*Breakfast was reasonably good, but it tended to be the same/same. So when you stay for multiple days... it gets dull. LOSS *`* I have no problem with a business having maintenance issues... it happens. However, when you report it and it is not fixed... that is not ideal. I loved the shower but it needed to alternate between shower heads, and for the last few nights, it did not. REVIEW I would highly recommend this motel - whilst it has areas that it could improve on. For the most part it will meet all of your needs.
