Agree with previous reviews that this is a modern and comfortable motel. It is an excellent location - directly across Spencer Street from Southern Cross station. Staff were very helpful. However, the TV was not located directly in front of the bed which is unusual although the screen could be swivelled around so that a person could see the TV while lying in bed. The absence of a dedicated work desk was also odd given that this property would be targetting corporate customers, as well as leisure clients. Breakfast at $39.00 was a little overpiced in relation to nearby competitors.

We are pleased to hear that you found our location good. However, we are very concerned and sincerely apologize for the significant issues you encountered during your stay. We deeply regret that your room was noisy due to its proximity to the train station, and that you found the room to be small. More importantly, we are very sorry that the cleanliness of your room was not up to standard, with hair on the sheets, a hairpin in the bathroom, and dust in the side table drawer. This is unacceptable and certainly not the high standard we aim to provide. We will be addressing these specific points immediately with our housekeeping team to ensure thoroughness and attention to detail. We are also truly sorry to hear that you found our reception staff unfriendly and that our team did not meet your expectations. 체크인부터 체크아웃까지 불편했던 점이 하나도 없었던 숙박이였습니다. 다음 멜버른 여행에서도 모벤픽에 머물 생각이 들 정도입니다. 다만 로비의 향이 화장실 에어 프레시너 향과 같았던 점이 마이너스라면 마이너스였겠네요. 초콜릿 아워에 제공되는 간식도 좋았고 탄산수와 차가운 물이 모두 제공되는 정수기 역시 편리했습니다. 위치도 서던 크로스역 바로 맞은 편에 위치해서 트램 타고 시내 구경을 하러 다니기에도 편했습니다.

The lovely Maria was kind enough to check us in early as we had disembarked a cruise ship. Such a perfect location- trams to all areas leaving from right outside, with the major station, along with airport buses every 10 minutes running from across the street. Room was super quiet & very well appointed. Breakfast was super tasty with locally sourced ingredients. Just perfect 👌

Perfect stay. Close to trams, train sand taxis too. Worth every cent. 👍

We had four nights at this wonderful hotel. Christmas Eve to the Sunday after Christmas. Firstly, the staff were fantastic. Enthusiastic to help. The cleaners for our room did an excellent job too. Then the foyer. The full bar, restaurant and coffee shop downstairs were excellent. At 2pm each day handmade chocolates for guests was a nice touch. The room. Our bed was very comfortable, we overlooked the Southern Cross Station and the people in the street below. Despite this the room (309) was pretty quiet. Quiet enough that we slept well, with just enough background noise during the day to add to the feeling we were in a vibrant city. Plenty of of hot water, room big enough to be comfortable. The whole hotel was as clean as a whistle too. Well done Movenpick. 👍🥂
