Mantis Epic is the sister property of Mantis Akagera Game Lodge inside the national park. it is located in the Nyagatare town, about 1h away from the north exit of Akagera (40 min on dirt road + 20 min on paved road). drive while there is still daylight since majority of the journey will have no street lights the decor is attractive. hotel is catered for both leisure and corporate guests. a variety of services and facilities are available eg onsite restaurant, spa, gym, tennis court, basketball court, swimming pool. room is comfortable. the only strange thing is shower head appeared to be installed on the wrong side of shower stall (away from the screen), so bathroom is at risk of being wet all in all, great stay, with friendly staff, who also gave us roasted peanuts before we left.

Beautiful hotel, guest are very nice and welcoming. They are constantly checking to make sure you are doing ok. You’ll be greeted with a warm towel and a refreshing drink. There are a lot of things you can do such as play basketball, get a massage and go to the gym.

Rwanda is such a beautiful country. From the landscape of the thousand hills to amazing people. I’ve stayed at Epic Hotel several times and each time I am impressed with the food, service, recreational facilities and guest services. I absolutely LOVE the gift shop. Make sure this is one of your stops when you arrive in Rwanda, you won’t regret it.

Magnifique hôtel parfaitement équipé pour recevoir une famille avec des adolescents - énormément d’activités possibles (tennis, basket, billard, tennis de table, très Grand piscine …). Chambres vastes et de haut standard digne des marques Européennes type Pullman. Le restaurant était excellent tout comme le petit déjeuner buffet très varié. Personnel aux petits soins, souriant et serviables. Une halte de rêve dans notre Rwanda trip entre le Park Akagera et le parc des Volcans. Un tout grand merci également au directeur pour son accueil personnalisé et pour s’être assuré de notre bien être tout au long du séjour.
