Fairmont Heritage Place Mayakoba

Amazing trip to the fairmont. Our first time staying at heritage. Previous times always at casitas near the hotel. Must say it was even better! More room, plunge pool, extra bedrooms and fantastic service! It’s all starts with our butler, Monica. She was amazing. We had lots of needs with 3 young kids. 14,12,9 ages. Only recommendation I would make it to have someone reach out to us the day before arrival to get some snacks or groceries in the room prior to our arrival. We loved every minute. Thanks again fairmont for another amazing time.

We love love this resort so much that we bought a place here! I want to call out a few of the people and teams that make this place so special. 1. In-room dining - you are the best! Prompt service, delicious food no matter the meal. Excellent menu. A stand out among room service anywhere. 2. The hardworking guys at the beach and pools doing set up and drink/food service. Oscar, Eddy, Rodolpho. Treating us like gold every day. 3. Housekeeping - Virginia! You keep the place looking great so that every day is like when we arrived. Spoiling us. 4. New restaurant, Bossano, wonderful service by Nathaniel and delicious food. Beautiful ambiance. Tauro did not disappoint. Dry-aged Kansas cut steak was THE BEST. we tried every cut and it wins! So much that we went back and had it again. The Maykana beach development is beautiful. What an upgrade. Golfed at El Caneleon. Lost a bunch of balls but that’s more my problem than the course! 🤪 Great trip, AGAIN. Can’t wait until March. Gracias.

We just returned from a family vacation of 15 people and 3 generations at the Heritage Place. This was US Thanksgiving week so it was also very busy. Shout out to our butler Fernanda. She had all 15 of us in two villas and the penthouse. We had huge dinners to plan and several personalities that wanted to do all the activities. She hooked us up with her favorite Fairmont employees (shout out to Oscar and Nicolas at the beach and fellow butler Alejandro for his tequila tasting in the penthouse and a wonderful server at Hix on our last night and the next day before the airport, Juan). Our excursions were also planned with her personal connections so we got the VIP service. She even found Taki's for my kids and had our groceries shopped for and delivered upon arrival. Everywhere we were she showed up to check on us...beach, restaurant, bar. We thought there must be 3 of her and we really wanted to take her home with us! Excellent things about the resort: La Laguna breakfast had so many choices it was perfect for everyone Kids menus at almost every place (even though my kids are adults...sometimes you just need french fries) Gorgeous beach....seriously the place to be all week. Wonderful bedding and housekeeping The staff....so friendly and they remember you. Do the cooking class with Sandra, so memorable and she is a saint for teaching 13 of us from 13-80 years old. Hotel transportation is by golf cart and ask your butler or the front desk to schedule but it really does come by every 12 minutes. They were wonderful making sure we were where we needed to be on time. The resort is HUGE. Do a boat tour! Ask Fernanda about the naturalist who knows all the birds. Things Fernanda couldn't fix and shouldn't have to: Water in the villa shower takes about 3-5 minutes to heat up. We thought there was no hot water. Seating in the breakfast place La Laguna is horrible if you get seated at the couches. My 6'3 husband and son were just peering above the table the seats are so low. Not a huge issue but it's 40% of the dining room No pool service at the Heritage or other pools except the adult pool. We had to grab our own towels and one pool didn't even have towels so we took them from another pool far away. No drink service or service at all except at the beach pool The elevator in our Villa only worked occasionally which was an issue for my 80 year old parents. We booked our breakfast at La Laguna on Open Table but it doesn't matter if you plan ahead. You are at the end of the line as soon as you show up. Sometimes almost 45 minutes. I hate even writing the negative stuff and it was minor, but thank you so much Fernanda (you get 6 stars)

We had an amazing few days with my 3 kids (aged 7,8,10) and in-laws. We stayed in a 3 bedroom Villa and the set up was perfect, with trundle beds in the kids room. The Villa was clean and beautiful. The resort itself is under ranted and elegant. An easy 40 min ride from the airport, we used USA Transfers and it was great. They will stop along the way if you want to grab snacks and drinks, which we didn’t do but I would next time. As far as the resort - this is the nicest place I’ve ever been in the Caribbean, nicer than rosewood baha mar and rosewood Bermuda. The beach club was amazing with a great main pool and several plunge pools along the deck. The other pools were also great and the kids loved the kids club. Food was incredible - the fresh tortillas at breakfast, and the beach grill for lunch and dinner were highlights. Lastly, the service was amazing. My son has celiac disease, and everyone was so knowledgeable and accommodating, eager to go out of their way to help keep him safe. Even the waiters were aware of what gluten was (the beach club waiter even knew that he couldn’t share the octopus with his brothers bc of soy sauce, or fries because of shared oil). Overall the staff knowledge on this was better than the states even. We had a “concierge,” Irene, who was incredible. I’ve always been uncomfortable with the concept of a concierge at all inclusive resorts, as I feel like it provides middle class Americans with a chance to experience the worst of our colonial history. But in this case, Irene was just a helpful liaison between us and the hotel. Basically like a hotel concierge. She was extremely helpful, never intrusive or over the top. The only draw back to this property was that it was a bit difficult for my mother in law to get around as she uses a Walker. We often had to wait a long time for the trolley, and several areas didn’t have ramps (like getting from the beach to the washroom). That said, the staff were so helpful with her, going out of their way to help get her where she needed to go. Overall, this is my new favourite place and I can’t wait to come back.

Breakfast at the terrace is amazing! It really feels like home. You can start with coffee and freshly baked “pan dulce” from the Fairmont bakery followed by your dish of choice. You can pretty much find everything in the menu. We end up having every day the same because it was so delicious: “chilaquiles rojos” French toasts, delicious papaya, mushrooms omelette and green juice. For lunch Teo the local chef, prepares every day a different special dish; our favorites this week were “cochinita pibil” and “taquitos de pulpo”.It’s an excellent option if you want to try authentic and very tasty local food. There is also a standard menu including “ceviche, guacamole, quesadillas and fajitas”. We loved that tortillas were made out of blue “maíz”. It’s also really important to mention the outstanding and amazing service from the host Victor. He is always making you feel welcome and makes sure that all your craves are fulfilled. The whole staff at Heritage is super friendly and ready to help you, either if you need a ride to the beach or to the golf club, making reservations at the bars and restaurants, getting groceries delivered directly to your apartment or making your pool warmer. It’s definitely a bliss!!
