First time visit to an all inclusive resort. We reviewed a few in the area but ultimately choose the Fairmont due to the reviews and the recent remodel. We were definitely not disappointed. From the pickup at the airport to the drop-off sadly 5 days later, the service was exemplary. We were upgraded to a Signature Casitas room upon arrival which was on the canal and was much more private then our designated room. So if you get lucky enough to get upgraded to the 800s or 900s - say YES!!!. We tried Fuego, Tauro, La Laguna, Briasa and Gaia for meals and Hix, La Cantina and the roof top bar - Cielo for drinks. I mean if you have the all inclusive you might as well - if not, prices are high. Briasa was our fav for breakfast as it's ala carte and the views are amazing. For dinner, Tauro if you like steak or La Laguna for a more local flair. For drinks, La Cantina was our favorite as Dorian was very informative pouring different tequilas and mezcals as well as mixing well known cocktails with a Mexican bent. We went on back to back days because it was so much fun. For the view, you can't beat Cielo tho. The only call outs for the food in the many meals we had -were that the oysters didn't seem fresh at Gaia and the nigiri was just so so at Hix. Otherwise everything else was amazing. Everyone walks or bikes the first couple of days but after that the shuttles which come every 5 minutes are the way to go. All the service staff were very attentive and the rooms were made up in the am and pm for night time service. I've read other reviews complaining about the service but during our stay it was great. We got a deal on Travelzoo that couldn't be beat. Had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend the place.

Amazing resort! Room was spectacular and pools were lovely. Not fully walkable as beach is pretty far from some rooms - but free bikes and a well run golf cart schedule easily remedy that issue. The staff was super attentive and were always available. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 4 nights, 5 days in signature casita. Pools and beach are great - sargassum was almost a nonissue. Food extrememly expensove as was the all-inclusive, but glad we chose that option. Couple of issues with room; light switch broke in the "on" position in the bathroom. Despite repeated calls to maintenance, they never fixed it and the constant light shining through the door louvers ruined my sleep. Also ran out of sundries two days in and weren't refilled, which was a problem for a family with two long haired females. Other than that, it's a lovely property and all the staff were amazingly nice.

Resort has so much to offer. Great restaurants, beach, pools, service and staff are amazing. Couldn't have been better. Would go back again. Only downside is check-in process is fairly long and slow, but once you get settled its perfection! Treat yourself to a massage. The spa is beautiful

During our stay at Fairmont Mayakoba we commented more than once about how the staff seemed to just anticipate exactly what we needed in that moment. A small treat after a massage, iced coffee on the beach, a bottle of water before bike ride - the service was truly top notch. The property was immaculate at all times, the ability to get around was really stress-free with bikes and golf carts. The pools were phenomenal (the only issue being guests trying to reserve lounge chairs by 6AM by placing small items on them to "claim" them then not return to use them for hours). Could have done with a casual restaurant option or two more for lunch and another coffee place would have been ideal (long lines in the morning!).
