L’hotel è ampio e pulito, i corridoi un po’ scarni rispetto alle stanze, che invece sono piuttosto moderne e accoglienti, ben curate e pulite, dotate di biancheria, asciugacapelli (mancava però una presa in bagno, che sarebbe stata comoda) e bollitore. Unica pecca, non presente una piccola cassaforte dove posizionare i propri effetti personali che non si vuole portare in giro durante la giornata. Posizione comoda rispetto alla stazione Sutton (letteralmente 1 minuto a piedi), che permette il collegamento con il centro di Londra in 40 minuti circa (è però distante circa 2.5 h totali -eliminando le attese dei trasporti, che comunque sono minime- dall’aeroporto di Stansted, per cui è necessario prendere treno - metro - treno). Unica pecca, per noi, il menù della cena. Avevamo scelto la 1/2 pensione con cena per comodità (ed era uno dei pochi hotel ad offrire tale opportunità); tuttavia il menù era piuttosto scarno e per la gran parte di quello che avremmo voluto ordinare ci è stato detto che non era disponibile. Inoltre l’area ristoro, alla sera, era veramente fredda (le persone mangiavano con la giacca); a colazione non abbiamo riscontrato lo stesso problema, quindi immagino fosse dovuto al fatto che la sera c’erano meno clienti e il locale non fosse climatizzato (ma sarebbe stato ottimale che lo fosse, anche per i pochi clienti presenti). La zona adiacente all’hotel, comunque, è ben fornita di ristoranti, fast food e market. Il personale, in ogni caso, è stato gentile ed accogliente; al nostro arrivo sembravano un po’ indecisi e poco convinti delle risposte ed indicazioni fornite. Il terzo giorno, invece, abbiamo riscontrato un problema con l’acqua calda, che è stato rapidamente risolto, gestito dalla ragazza presente alla reception in modo assolutamente gentile, educato, rapido e consono, senza alcuna incomprensione.

Dear Giuseppe, Thank you for your detailed feedback and 7/10 rating. We're glad you appreciated the clean, spacious, and well-decorated rooms at our ibis Sutton. We regret however that the bed wasn't comfortable and that you missed having a minibar - we'll certainly consider your suggestions to improve these aspects. Regarding parking, we completely understand your frustration with only 12 spaces available. Our central city location limits our capacity, but our staff is always ready to recommend nearby alternatives.
