we’re put in an easy access room where the bathroom was unclean, shower did not work properly, got moved into a regular room where the heating/ac did not work then a third room where the shower also did not heat up nor did it drain, bed was comfy but the fire alarm also going off at 1am for 30 seconds then going off didn’t bring a good nights sleep anyway

Stayed in room 703. The room was adequate but the windows in the room were absolutely dreadful. It was a windy night & the noise coming from the windows was torture. I would not recommend this hotel. The bed was comfortable, but that is small consolation if you cannot sleep due to noise.

Aiysha was so friendly and welcoming - arrived late and still got a great check in so THANKYOU Looking forward to a good sleep now Lovely gingerbread house by reception and very Christmassy and cosy - great bar late into the evening. Will return again

Dirty socs in clean bed?

Throwing back the covers there were someone else's dirty socks in my 'clean bed'. The response from the duty manager was dismissive 'we will tell housekeeping'. so I deposited the dirty socs on their desk - then they agreed! Frankly its disgusting and makes you wonder about their attitude to clients. Note there is no ability to write in a complaint on their website.

Will make alternative arrangements in future!!

First of all, All the staff were excellent!! Traffic a nightmare around 5.00pm! Room? no desk for work! No chair in room! Only one bed side shelf for alarm as the bed only just fits in the room. Bathroom door opens outwards due to small bathroom!! avoid room 301 Trapped finger when closing bathroom door as the handle has been placed too close to door edge, great!! Previously stayed all over the country (including Mercure) Holiday Inn , Hilton, Premier Inn and even Travelodge and never had such a poor room experience.
