Stayed at the Ibis as was going to a gig locally, room 205 clean as was the bathroom, decent sized TV and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were lovely and helpful. Good stay, I would stay again if I was up that way. Could slightly hear guests walking past the room but wasn’t that bad/loud.

Room looked like a prison cell and view out of the window was even worse. Bed looked ok but walls were all stained with either food or drink splashed up the walls, it has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. It was centrally located but was so glad to get out the place in the morning and slept with my clothes on for not wanting to pick up anything. Never stayed for breakfast the room put me off enough. I know the price reflects the quality of place you stay but if you can afford it I would choose different place. From the people checking in it looked like the hotel whereby the rooms were just used by the hour. Awful place and didn't want to put you off further with photos

Clean hotel, close to station. Lots of eateries round about. Breakfast basic. Worryingly had someone try to get in my room at 5am. Sent whatsapp but did not get a reply until I spoke with reception at breakfast. I probably would stay here again though. Was central for my needs.

Just not good. The bedsheets had blood spots meaning I couldn't actually sleep IN the bed. The room was tired and worn. The bathroom floor has been recovered but really badly done with bubbles in it and the edging hanging off. The reception staff were great on arrival but later on the person behind the bar was too busy sending texts with his back to the customers to respond to anyone. I waited about 5 mins then gave up

Noisy disturbed nights sleep, rooms are not soundproof.

The rooms were not sound proof, there was continuous noise all night. I was placed in a room with an adjoining door as was a colleague of mine. Both of us had terrible nights sleep. I spoke with staff in the morning who simply said sorry and thanks for letting us know. Nothing more done. The room was clean, the bed comfy, staff friendly, but it’s all quite pointless if you can’t sleep because of noise!
