Huge parking fine, despite following instructions

I was charged more than the hotel price for a parking fine. I followed all instructions given by the staff at check in but still received a very hefty parking fine. The car park was dark and poorly lit. If you can't get parking outside you will have to park quite far from the hotel.

I stayed here for 5 weeks as part for training for a new job and it’s been a very pleasant stay. Different room every week each room was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Staff have been ace each of them being very helpful especially Moses and Saidur who were a great laugh in the evenings. The food has been excellent with some nights having to wait a little while but that didn’t bother me to much, it would be nice to see more variety but unless you stay for 5 weeks that shouldn’t be an issue. I would’ve liked to have seen a big more variety in the gym and some of the kit does look very tired in there too. Very enjoyable stay would happily stay here again if I came back to Cardiff.

Great staff in the restaurant, particularly Panchi who keeps it all flowing with the help of Greshani and Yogrendra. Rooms comfy with good reading lights. The shower is excellent - powerful and hot! Love the fluffy bathrobes too!

Disappointing

Staying here for 5 weeks while on a local training course. First of all, the food is very good quality if a little limited in the menu. The 2 things that really let the place down are staffing levels and maintenance issues. Waited 45 minutes from sitting down to receiving my meal tonight. Waited on several occasions up to 10 minutes for a member of reception to arrive. Had a problem with a bathroom light not turning off, reported 4 times, assured it would be fixed the following day 4 times and it still won't turn off!! There is a fan switch close to the ceiling that can turn off the light that I can thankfully reach but others won't be so fortunate. Besides, it should have been fixed on the first request and it wasn't. Room access cards frequently don't work, requiring reprogramming and at least twice the lock itself needed reprogramming most likely due to a faulty battery. All in all disappointed!
