Concern Regarding Event Booking at Mövenpick HOTEL, JBR

I first visited Mövenpick on December 5th to discuss hosting my business event scheduled for January 25th, 2025 During my visit, I met with Ms. Nadia, who confirmed the event and provided the package details. Based on her confirmation, I visited multiple times took some measurement for the table for my event & submitted all required documents, including our license and tax form, and began advertising the event. I also accepted guest bookings and received payments, trusting the agreement was final. Nadia was suppose to send me the payment link as well. But when I message her again to send me the payment link as our event date is confirmed. Then she told me that she had sent an email on December 19th, stating that the restaurant was occupied. We confirmed the event before 18th December which she agreed, and shared the menu package for us. whereas our last visit was 18th December. What a surprise! You should provide alternative options for your guests, not simply suggest another venue with a higher price. However, on December 19th, I received an email stating the event would be moved to the banquet hall with a significant price increase. Most of our conversations had been on WhatsApp, and this sudden change is unacceptable, as I had already adjusted my event pricing based on the package originally provided. This experience has been deeply disappointing, especially as this was my first event with Mövenpick JBR and I had high expectations given Accor’s reputation. Unfortunately, I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW ON A VERY SHORT NOTICE. I had hoped for a long-term collaboration, but this experience has been far from professional.

Exceptional service from entering, a warm welcome from the front desk. Great rooms at a very affordable price. The breakfast team hostess manager and service excellent . Thank u Onotolly,kashif, Vishal,Sachin , Heidi And the whole team. Stayed here before and will definitely recommend and be back

Quite simple - booked for 3 nights through work - 1 left after 1 night because the A/C would not rise above 19C despite moving to a second room. My business partner used 2 blankets to stay warm. It was warmer in the reception and bar than the 2 rooms I tried. Breakfast - you cant help yourself to a coffee - it has to be brought to you and the food types were all over the place.

Our stay at Mövenpick Jumeirah Beach Dubai was overall a wonderful experience. Everything, from the beach services to the complimentary ice cream service, was excellent and very comfortable. We especially appreciated the helpful staff, from the bellboys to the reception team, and from the restaurant managers to the waiters. Thanks to the entire team; we'd definitely consider coming back! However, we were a bit disappointed with the delay in the room upgrade process, which lasted until 10 PM. We had hoped for an additional discount or compensation for that day, but unfortunately, none was offered. Apart from this, everything else was perfect.
