I have read your several comments -without having your guest or stay details-, I am pleased to learn your stay has been a satisfactory one and you appreciated our convenient and unique location. Otherwise, I regret and apologize for the guarantee procedure not having met or having been (made?) aware of this practice. In most hotels within our category worldwide, this is a common practice and is meant to cover for services which are not included in your rate, besides the city tax you can think of booking room service to your room or a dinner, and enjoy the ease to pay your open balance upon check out. The amount is variable as it depends whether your stay is prepaid, partially prepaid or not prepaid yet. The taken reservation is usually being released directly when using the same card. Last but not least; the release of this hold on your card depends on your credit card handling company, not our hotel (or car rental company, airline etc.).
