Convenient, cozy, and quiet

Stayed here with three of my lady friends in the family room which came equipped with a bunk bed and full sized bed. However the full sized bed seemed much larger. Needless to say it was a comfortable arengement for 2 nights in Amsterdam. Its a very short walk from central station and infact our room overlooked a train track but it was surprisingly very quiet. Check in was fast and the staff was friendly. Seemed like everything we wanted to do or see was within a 20 minute walk. There is some light construction out front which made it a bit muddy at the entrance. I would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend!!!

Funky hotel built across the railway station. Off the train and into the hotel. Staff are very welcoming. Central to everything Amsterdam. Would definitely visit Amsterdam again and stay in the Ibis. Chilled from start to finish, Will visit again soon.

Stayed here with some friends for a gig in October and I’ve also been here before about 4 years prior. Pro’s - Location is fantastic and probably it’s biggest selling point. Being on top of the train station and opposite the centre of town is ideal, means you don’t really need to use public transport. - Staff were accommodating and friendly - Rooms are comfortable and everything worked (more or less, will come to that later. - Toiletries provided were superb, didn’t need to use my own shower gel once. - Late checkout is offered which is a blessing for evening flights / trains out of the city. - Corridors and rooms have been recently refurbished Cons - Although the rooms were functional, they are a little compact, so if you’ve got a large suitcase this may not be ideal. Bear in mind I booked a regular rather than a “cosy” room, so I imagine they’re like Broom Cupboards. - Had an issue where the shower head kept twisting around, so the bathrooms aren’t perfect but by and large they worked. - Had an odd smell coming from the sink, might be some underlying plumbing issues - If you don’t upgrade to a room with a view, it’s likely you’ll be overlooking the opposite side of the building with the rooms looking back at you, which is a bit reminiscent of jail. Not ideal but if you’re not spending too much time in the room it’s not the end of the world. - You may get residual noise from the train tracks below, however it’s not too deafening. Also you’re literally on top of the train station so it’s to be expected. Overall for it’s practicality and location, I’d recommend this as a good base for Amsterdam City Centre. It’s comfortable and a safe bet and I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

Best Hotel Next To Amsterdam Centraal Station

This Ibis Hotel is very near Amsterdam Centraal Station. Around 6-7 minutes walk from its exit. In fact, it is next to the station and only separated by a small road and bicycle rental office. The reception area is very nice and homy, with helpful staffs. Not sure if they all speak english, but the ones I interacted with do speak english. Check in process was very fast. Apart from breakfast/ dine in area, they also have a beverage spot at the lobby. Tea and coffee are available, The room was nice although quite small. Very comfortable and me and my wife have no complaints, except for the limited space. Our window faced the railway so we could see train come and go. Since we didn’t have breakfast in our reservation, I could not make comment.

Excellent location and very nice and comfortable room just looking on to the station. Although this annexe of the hotel is astride the railway track the noise is completely shut off by double glass panes. Wonderful view, very helpful front desk and good choice of breakfast. Soups, salads and pizzas are available for dinner at the restaurant.
