Concerning lack of care for people with disabilities

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times before as it close to my office and found it perfectly adequate. As someone who has recently trained as a disability advocate, I am reporting my experience as I found it concerning. The room I was assigned was “adapted” with a wet room, wide bathroom door and toilet bars. However, the sink unit was at regular height, and the wall mounted soap dispenser at the sink was out of reach. Most importantly, the shower temperature indicator was broken so it was not possible to see if the water was hot or cold without turning it on. A person with a physical disability would have been sitting immediately under this, giving a high risk of scalding. During use, the water ran hot & cold, making me think the whole shower unit was out of order. The room was also immediately next door to the gym, so I was awoken at 6.40am by a person repeatedly dropping weights on the floor (I know this as I got up to check what the noise was!) As I would assume there are only a small number of adapted rooms, it seems a shame that this one is clearly in the most unfavourable location & subject to noise These things are minor inconveniences to a fully able bodied person as I am able to change rooms, but would be more significant for someone who may not have that choice. I reported this to two reception staff members (Theo and Maya) who could not have been less interested. Shame on you, Movenpick for providing a sub-standard experience for disabled guests - you are a big hotel chain and should do better

Very nice hotel near Lake Geneva . Check in was fast and employees very pleasant . The room was large and clean .the bed was very comfortable . Close to other hotels , restaurants and old town . The bar employees were very kind and helpful . The breakfast room was very bright and had nice accommodations and an excellent choice of options . We enjoyed our time at breakfast and the staff was efficient and kept the displays full and eye appealing . Thank you !

Beautiful views of Lake Geneva comes second only to the fantastic service at the Mövenpick. I have been staying here regularly for business in Lousanne for 18 months, and the staff have always gone out of their way to ensure the stay is as memorable and comfortable as possible. In particular, Vlad has been a familiar face throughout this 18 months and couldn’t do enough for us. He is a credit to this organisation and I hope to see him again on my next visit.
