Avoid it for my holiday/business trip

This is absolutely an unacceptable hotel that claims to have a 3-star rating. In the room even basic facilities like a kettle are not provided. Customers need to pay another CHF14 to get a mini bar fridge. The room does not provide hot water because no kettle is provided. We had to go to the communal area to get help for hot water. The toilet door has no lock and cannot be fully closed. Sound proofing is absolutely a joke - my family of four could not sleep well as we were terribly affected by the lodger upstairs talking, dragging chair along in late night and early morning. I went upstairs to ask why the lodgers caused so much noise without thinking of people living downstairs. We were not enjoying the stay in the IBIS room but counting how many days remaining to leave this place. I have to say my family will certainly avoid IBIS brand in our holiday/business trip from now on and spread this experience in my community.

Not knowing the lay of the land and wanting to stay in Lausanne I booked this hotel which is good as hotels go. Later I realized that it is a bit remote and difficult to access unless you are willing to pay for expensive taxis which defeated the point of trying to book a budget hotel.

Hotel, although one of the cheapest options in Lausanne area, is very clean, has great environment, lovely staff very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend. Thanks to Wissam, Dylan and Ugur for all their help during our stay.

Don’t know about the average reader, but lots of these business hotels all look the same and they lack character/soul; well, not this Ibis. From the very friendly check-in, to the more than spacious room (decent mattress and pillows/no noise), followed by a cool quirky bar with super friendly staff, covered parking and friendly priced: if you need to be in the area, don’t mind to be outside the centre: this is an excellent pick and real good value for money!!
