Good Mövenpick hotel, outside of the city centre, with great staff

I chose this hotel as I didn't have to be in the city centre on that night. Because of its location (17 minutes train ride plus 3 minutes on a bus or 10-15 minutes by foot), the price was attractive. I was nicely welcomed, and upgraded to a premium room. It was large, with an excellent bed. Bathroom was well equipped although I prefer a shower to a bathtub. Good breakfast. And very important, great staff. A nice option when staying in the area.

Expensive, with no pool.

One night stay after watching the Lionesses in Zurich at Euro 2025. Train station a 10 minutes walk and then a short ride into central Zurich. Booked the hotel via hotels com based upon two key criteria. Free parking and a swimming pool. The hotel has neither. Parking is CHF 20 per day and the pool is in a separate facility and costs CHF 33 per person. The receptionist acknowledged that the pool details are incorrect on booking.com and other sites and said the hotel had been in contact to get the details updated. The hotel itself is pretty smart inside, and unimpressive from the outside, in a strange location attached to a small shopping centre in the middle of a residential area. Our queen/queen premium room was large and the a/c worked well. The mattresses were extremely comfortable. Unfortunately the pillows were pathetic, with no stuffing in them at all. Bathroom was clean, however the shower did not have decent water pressure. We booked half board, which given the prices in the restaurant appeared to represent excellent value. We only popped into the restaurant late, after the match, for a quick bite to eat so did not have the full 3 courses on offer. My daughter's soup was incredibly salty, howeverB both mine and my wife's mains were excellent and the waiter was very accommodating. Prices looked extortionate (it cost us CHF 11.80 / GBP 10.50 for a large bottle of sparkling water!) Breakfast was decent, as you would expect, with a good choice of hot and cold dishes.

Calm, clean and serene..we got a beautiful family room. A minute away from the bus stop. Thanks to Angela at the front office! A great breakfast spread...with a hospitable staff..Shout out to Vivian!! Overall a great stay with a homely feel and great housekeeping service for 5 days. Will stay again for sure.

This hotel is terrible. Please don't waste your money, stay somewhere else. There are many bad reviews, mainly due to money been taken or demanded. My stay started badly. The reception was full of luggage, blocking the entrance/exits/fire escapes. Small children running wild. Shouting from an unruly group of guests. There were two guests in front of me at check in, who were getting very upset with the reception staff. I was told abruptly to sit and wait. This continued for 45 minutes, by which time more guest were behind me equally annoyed with the wait (over an hour to check in). This was not the main problem with the hotel. On check out I was over charged for 2 extra breakfasts. When I pointed this out, I had a rude reply accusing me of lying about this. It has now turned into an email argument, which the hotel making up any reason to not return the 40CHF. I had no service for this money taken from my credit card. The argument has so far lasted for over a week, with them refusing to return my money. I will not let the hotel win. RETURN THE MONEY YOU OWE ME.

AVOID Movenpick Regensdorf: Shocking Lack of Service and False Accusations My recent stay at the Movenpick Regensdorf was a nightmare due to abysmal service and outrageous post-checkout accusations. Firstly, despite removing the DND sign for over 7 hours while traveling with a baby, our room was never cleaned, leaving us with diaper odors and an untidy space. Unbelievably, there's no nighttime housekeeping at this so-called 4-star hotel. Secondly, days after a seemingly smooth checkout (confirmed by their own staff), we were falsely accused of damaging the carpet by "showering improperly" and threatened with credit card charges – without any proof! Their refusal of a cash deposit at check-in now seems like a deliberate tactic. Why weren't these issues raised during the 20 minutes we waited in the lobby after checking out? Beyond this, expect no bellboy and a shortage of luggage trolleys. The only redeeming factor is the nearby mall. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere. If you're stuck with a reservation here, insist on a cash deposit and a pre-checkout room inspection to protect yourself from their dishonest practices. Demand evidence for any damage claims before agreeing to any charges.
