Clean hostel vibes

£135 party people, keep that in mind as I walk you through this. Reception is clean and has character, the staff member for check in was curt and short with us. After check in, room was good in size but cold and sparse. Bed was comfortable, curtains not great at keeping the light out and there was an irritating bright green light on the ceiling. No way to turn it off. Now let's talk breakfast. No really, breakfast? Where? I would be livid if we had paid for breakfast included and what was on offer was rubbery scrambled eggs, beans, barely any sausages, lots of olives and some slices of curling cheese. Oh wait, we did pay for that.....

Myself and my friend stayed at the ibis Sheffield one night for my hen do. The hotel was very clean. BUT the room was very basic! Just a bed in a room… no decor on the walls. Very clean though and bed was comfy. We were really disappointed with the breakfast. We came downstairs to breakfast around 10am. There was only beans, scrambled eggs and 2 sausages left! We were very disappointed after a heavy night out drinking. With the price we paid for the room it did not match what we got in return. We won’t stay again. Sort your brekkie out! lol.

Poor customer service and AC not working

Went with my Husband and my 1 year old. As it was our first time visiting Sheffield we didn’t know much about the city and tried asking the receptionist for help who didn’t even bother helping or trying to engage in any conversation. Having looked past this, the ac stopped working during midnight, showing an error code, this lead to a sleepless night for me and my husband. After our initial interaction with the receptionist we didn’t bother asking for any further help and just decided to see out the night as we only stayed for 1 day. I understand it’s a budget hotel however for more than £50 you expect a decent level of customer service.

Stayed for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay. The hotel is on a busy main road but we didn't hear any noise. The rooms are very small but have the basics you need. Bed was comfortable and with air con you can control temperature. The hotel offers food and drinks which was great after arriving later. If you plan on playing pool, be aware it is £5 for only 30mins. We had no hand towels in room, but after asking, we got some right away. The batteries in our tv remote didn't work, but again staff quickly replaced them. It's difficult to know where reception is on arrival, would be helpful to have a sign. Also more that 1 pillow would be a nice touch too.
