Amazing hotel with great rooms and facilities. Great view. The staff was very helpful planning rest of our trip in Vietnam, especially Ha Uyen which was very nice and always helping with a smile. The breakfast was amazing with much variety.

À première vue, l’hôtel est très beau, plutôt bien situé et avec une belle vue. Le staff par contre ne parle pas anglais, à part à l’accueil, et il est donc très compliqué pour demander d’autres informations inclus au restaurant. La, notre pire expérience au Vietnam. On commande des langoustines qui viennent panés, sachant qu’on est en bord de mer, cela ne me semble pas normal. Mon copain appelle donc que le serveur qui ne comprend pas ce qu’il veut dire et qui commence à toucher son assiette et décortiquer les langoustines à sa place. Du grand n’importe quoi !! Le soir, malgré l’expérience précédente, on décide de donner une chance au restaurant japonais de l’hôtel, et encore une catastrophe, L’hôtesse qui ne demande pas si on a des allergies et qui nous ramène des sushis avec de la pomme (mon mari est allergique), elle parle au téléphone et à ses collègues dans la cuisine est ouverte pendant qu’on mangeait pas très loin. Vraiment pas professionnel du tout. La cuisine reste à désirer, le restaurant est plutôt une fusion japonais/ vietnamien sans que cela soit informé aux clients qui s’attendent à manger japonais. En bref, une catastrophe !

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing views. It is located next to a very busy beach but there are three pools if you’re looking for somewhere quieter to swim. There is a walkway beyond the beach and around the cliffs which is nice. We dined in both the main restaurant and the Japanese restaurant and really enjoyed the food and service in both. Lots of choices on the breakfast buffet as well. Our room with its claw foot bath and balcony was gorgeous. Personally I’m not a fan of the glass toilet door, but loved everything else about the room. A couple of areas that the hotel can improve on: 1. The lobby is chaotic. Why do you allow guests to walk through the lobby playing loud music? Why do you let children run around, play tag and yell in the lobby? These things happened frequently during our stay. Managers, please train your staff to discourage these behaviours, as sadly some guests seem unable to behave appropriately and mind their children. 2. Rubbish is clearly a big problem on Cat Ba island. To reduce plastic waste, I tried to fill up my drink bottle with water from the breakfast buffet, but was told I couldn’t. Instead I filled it from the water dispenser in the gym. Refillable glass bottle in rooms, and water coolers on every floor for people to refill their own water would minimise plastic waste massively. 3. Wifi would cut in and out, or wouldn’t go at all. Can this be improved? Otherwise, a very nice hotel.

An outstanding experience in this 5-star hotel. We especially appreciated the support and information we received from Uyen! Thank you so much again! We had a massage which we can 100% recommend and for breakfast there was a great choice. The room was spacious with a beautiful view to the sea.
