We checked in quite late at night and the team were very warm and welcoming. The hotel is very well located by the metro station. The rooms were lovely and the hotel has a nice modern feel to it. The breakfast was nice, with a particular shout out to the croissants which were delightful. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel!

Very convenient to the station. You can quickly get to the Capitol and other major attractions. Supermarket and pharmacy are also very close. Also, the breakfast buffet is delicious. Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable. Shower was difficult to use (inevitably flooded).

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in June. I was pleasantly surprised and would stay here again and have already recommended the accommodation to prospective travellers. The pictures online are beautiful and that is exactly what you get; a stylish, clean and accessible hotel 6 minutes’ walk from the metro which takes you straight into town. The only reason why I haven’t reviewed this hotel higher is because some of the staff can be abrupt (both on reception and in the restaurant) and were not as friendly as you would expect from a 4-star hotel. In saying this, I did have some lovely experiences with staff; especially the man who greeted me on arrival and checked me in at 1am who was so informative, professional and friendly – unfortunately I didn’t see him again to catch his name, but he made a great first impression as he was very knowledgeable about things to do and how to travel in Budapest. The restaurant is large and beautifully presented. The food was delicious, and I would advise travellers to try the local dishes, I had explosions of flavours, tastes and textures. As a fussy eater I find it hard being away from home but I loved the dishes I was served during my time here. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety. There was lots of technology in this hotel that was fun to use; a pancake making machine which continuously makes fresh pancakes, a coffee machine which served lots of different varieties of coffee and an electronic butter dispenser. I wasn’t sure what to expect beforehand, but I really enjoyed my stay here. I was a bit confused as the hotel seems like it is split into 2 parts (Ibis and Mercure), I stayed in the Mercure accommodation but obviously the reception and restaurant is shared. There are also a couple of boutique type shops on the lower ground floor. I was also pleased that there was a computer for guests to use. Although the computer wasn’t working when I was there, reception did print off the documents I needed. I loved Budapest and I loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again when I return.
