I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in June. I was pleasantly surprised and would stay here again and have already recommended the accommodation to prospective travellers. The pictures online are beautiful and that is exactly what you get; a stylish, clean and accessible hotel 6 minutes’ walk from the metro which takes you straight into town. The only reason why I haven’t reviewed this hotel higher is because some of the staff can be abrupt (both on reception and in the restaurant) and were not as friendly as you would expect from a 4-star hotel. In saying this, I did have some lovely experiences with staff; especially the man who greeted me on arrival and checked me in at 1am who was so informative, professional and friendly – unfortunately I didn’t see him again to catch his name, but he made a great first impression as he was very knowledgeable about things to do and how to travel in Budapest. The restaurant is large and beautifully presented. The food was delicious, and I would advise travellers to try the local dishes, I had explosions of flavours, tastes and textures. As a fussy eater I find it hard being away from home but I loved the dishes I was served during my time here. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety. There was lots of technology in this hotel that was fun to use; a pancake making machine which continuously makes fresh pancakes, a coffee machine which served lots of different varieties of coffee and an electronic butter dispenser. I wasn’t sure what to expect beforehand, but I really enjoyed my stay here. I was a bit confused as the hotel seems like it is split into 2 parts (Ibis and Mercure), I stayed in the Mercure accommodation but obviously the reception and restaurant is shared. There are also a couple of boutique type shops on the lower ground floor. I was also pleased that there was a computer for guests to use. Although the computer wasn’t working when I was there, reception did print off the documents I needed. I loved Budapest and I loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again when I return.

Everything is good at this hotel. Be it the acceptance at the reception, the size of the rooms, the amenities, restaurant, breakfast options but I was really impressed with one incident. I am a pure vegetarian but I eat eggs. There were a couple of scrambled egg options for the breakfast but I wasn't sure, if it had meat. I checked with the waiter but he said, we will make an omelette for you with all the veggies. This is what is called customer service. I would love to mention the names of the people who did this but I don't remember now. Really impressed.

Everything was fine and really excellent. The manager, receptionist, staff were all amazing and helpful. The hotel is really good, in good place on Buda side- near the Castle hill.

Very disappointing, the rooms are small, no way it's 20 mr asadvertized. You can't actually controll the temperature and the room is insuffrebly hot, we had to sing a document so they will open the window for us. The bathroom smell horrible, probably mold, and since the bathroom is so small you can't shower without getting most of the room wet. When we went to complaint because I truly thought they gave us a wrong room the receptionist was indifferent, just said it what it is, said she could move us to a room in a different floor but it's the same room with all the same issues. I do not recommend at all.

Pokój nie został dokładnie posprzątany. Ławka była klejąca z długimi czarnymi włosami. W łazience również długie czarne włosy. Brudna wykładzina.
