Good but fraud.

The lodge really is nice. That said there are some serious issues. We prepaid our stay via Accor. The front desk staff insisted that I pay again for the accommodation because my receipt for full payment was a mistake. They insisted that I pay via a third party link. I refused and opened an investigation with Accor. Accor confirmed that I had prepaid and I am awaiting an explanation from the hotel - they have not replied to me or Accor in 10 days. I believe that the front desk manager, Mary, and possibly others are running a scam. I discussed this with others in Rwanda and, it seems, Mantis is known for ‘billing issues’. Some basic issues are the food - overpriced and poor quality - and the lack of water. You’re not allowed single use plastic bottles in the park and the hotel only provides two 330ml bottles per room per day. Bring 5+ litre bottles to refill. In short, a good place to stay if you bring water but be careful for fraud.

Amazing service, beautiful hotel. The park is incredible. I hope someday to return. I wish I could have stayed longer. Next time I will stay longer. I manage a hotel in Canada and I am very picky about hotel. This hotel lived up to all of my expectations

The staff are awesome and we were greatly welcomed. The room was very clean and well organized. Amenities were also according to my pre-check-in indications. One thing we didn't get was a clear attention to a food allergy we informed in advance (gluten free meals). There was no clear indication on the menus and buffet about gluten presence on dishes, and no one approached us with any offers of substitues. One thing we also missed was the option of having a lighter dinner, instead of the "mandatory" buffet.
