Cockroaches in room

Arrived with my family paid for a 2 bedroom apartment with ocean views for 10 days costing us $4430. Walked into our room and noticed ants walking across the bench where I sanitise my babies bottles. Was given spray to kill the ants. Was promised that the bench would be cleaned however this did not occur so I had to do it. The next day I had a shower and there was no body soap and the shower had someone else’s hair in it. Then the microwave stopped working so I was unable to sanitize our daughter’s bottles. A microwave was given to us the next day. On that same day Jennifer a new manager called advising us that she had a room available for us in tower 2, and that it was all new furniture and newly painted. We view the apartment and although the view was less then what we had we agreed to move on the basis that it was a cleaner apartment. Move occurred right away with a toddler and a 7 month old baby which was extremely hard going from tower 3 to 2 with no trolly which we requested. The morning of the 20/12 I woke to prepare my daughter’s bottle at 2:30am. After doing so I went to the bathroom and I noticed that there was a cockroach walking in the bath, I ran back to the room and asked my husband to go and kill the cockroach and before doing so he took a picture and view which had the time of 2:37am. At 7am we went downstairs to speak to Ho the manager and told him what happened and he viewed the footage. He was extremely apologetic and said he would get the room sprayed during the day for us. Just after 3pm this had not occurred so my husband called front reception and spoke with Filip the assistant manager he then came down with spray again and said that the room wouldn’t be sprayed. He also suggested that we maybe able to be relocated to another mantra owned property. We later spoke with filip and he said he spoke to Jennifer and she insisted that this was not urgent and it could wait until the Monday as we had already been upgraded. . We made numerous pleads as we have 2 young girl and we told filip this new room was not an upgrade as it is exactly what we paid for a 2 bedroom apartment with ocean views. Extremely disappointed in the fact that this is meant to be a Christmas holiday for our family and we paid so much money yet and instead it’s been one problem after another and being left to feel dismissed and very sad for our daughters. Would have thought that customer service would be an urgent matter to the company but obviously not. My daughter have woken up this morning with bites on their body. Building works and also no housekeeping done. No one has come to even clean the bathroom where the cockroach was.

Very dirty and staff wouldn't do anything bout this which was disappointing. On arrival to room we walked in and there were holes in the walls, open lollies on the carpets, stains all over the couches and pillows, cigarette buts on the table, makeup stains on the walls, dirty dishes etc. I've also never stayed in a place that DOESN'T offer FREE house keepkeeping.. especially coming from another state this was all a big shock to us. Dirty dirty dirty do not stay here!..

No room service, Threatened by security

It was an absolute pain to stay here. We went during schoolies which meant we had to check in every time we entered the hotel. Security threatened to evict us at 1am after accusing us of throwing a can off the roof and after talking to the building management refused to remove the warning for something my room didn’t do. There was no room service throughout our stay which meant we had to empty our own bins and stock up on toilet paper. Unbelievable!

Stayed a mantra of chevron. While the 2 bedroom appartment was ok the bond you have to pay is crazy . They hold the bond payment for up to 30 days even after you left . Friends had to ring to remind them of the bond being held for whatever reason . Pretty crazy to hold bond payments for this long. Rooms can’t be guaranteed close together so could be in different towers and can’t access each others levels so makes hanging out hard.

our accommodation was located right near cavil avenue, it was easy to find, had great parking and the bed were comfortable and the showers were good too both important things to me. I would highly recommend this place especially for families
