We went to the crown towers with a big group of us for a family holiday. We had 7 different rooms. When someone said it was a room lottery this was correct. 2 of the rooms were clean and up to spec. It's important to note they are all owned independently so you can't be sure what room you get. The rest were dirty and dated. Our room was 911. The rooms need a deep clean. The curtains were mouldy and ripped. The furniture damaged. The outdoor area needs a waterblast. There is dust piled up on lights, light switches, windows, walls etc and is just gross. The marks all over the walls added to the dirtiness (one looked like a food handprint). The aircon is piled with dust and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. We all ended up sick. The grout between the tiles are black (when are meant to be white) and felt slimy. Our oven didn't work correctly and plummeted smoke (which was the better of the lot because others simply didn't work). The fridge was full of ice and had food stains in that ice. The one point out of five is for the pool area which was good for the kids. The internet is terrible and constantly drops out. You can't get it pool side or in some rooms. The lobby looks abandoned as the businesses that once were there have gone bust plus it has a strange smell. When told on departure it was dirty we were told "oh we would have cleaned it if you asked" too late. Plus it required commercial deep cleaning not clean sheets and towels. We paid $55 for a porta cot which didn't have mattress in it so we had to use blankets to build our own mattress. I would not come back to stay nor would I recommend staying here. It's important to note if it was clean and dated this would have been ok but honestly it was the dirtiness that we couldn't handle.

We had a great stay with our 3 young children in a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit. Great location to the beach and tram line 50 metres away. It was very difficult to use the bbq area or for the children to play in the playground as this is not fenced off from the pools.

We booked a two-bedroom ocean view apartment and were very disappointed with the first unit we were given. The carpet was all ripped in the living room the furniture was very old and broken and the toilet in the ensuite had a broken lid. I asked the reception for a better room, and they were accommodating however the room was only marginally better. The second bedroom only had a ceiling fan, and you couldn't open the windows, so it was literally an oven!!! My son ended up sleeping in the lounge room for the 5-night stay. Again, the front desk team were apologetic, but these apartments should not be made available to book without giving the customer prior warning. before you book make sure you get a room on the lower level and that it is renovated.

If you booking a holiday for your kids, then the pools are the best here. We loved spending time out of our dirty room and in the pool. The rooms are very disappointing, we booked a 3 bed apt with our friends and their daughter. We had 8 people (4adults and 3 children, 1 toddler) our room had 2 x 2 seater couch one which was broken in the middle and two people couldn’t sit on it together. Beds were comfortable at the least. When I say a dirty room, the windows on the balcony is something iv never seen. Greasy and couldn’t look outside without it seeming likes it’s raining. Literally a 5min job for the cleaner to wipe them down. Bathrooms were also unclean, shower hadn’t had a decent clean in months. Hot water service would bang and clunk with the loud noise when using and shower head was deafening my toddler wouldn’t get in the shower as she was scared of the noise. Kitchen lacked everything, broken doors screwed in place. Carpet had stains everywhere which just made the apartment feel even more dirty. Overall if the hotel put more into these apartments they would get much better reviews.

La segunda vez que me quedo en Crown Towers. De nuevo mi familia y yo disfrutamos de una fantástica estancia. Volvimos a reservar la misma habitación en la que estuvimos antes porque ya conocíamos de que calidad era y como acaban de modernizarla, todo es completamente nuevo, moderno y limpio. Me impresionó ver como el propietario (reservamos directamente con el propietario por la mitad del precio) había dado unos toques adicionales, revista, obras de arte, nuevas mantas, plasma, otra televisión en el dormitorio principal y en la habitación de los niños así como un nuevo reproductor de DVD. Siempre limpia, de hecho estaba limpísima (mi esposa es bastante exigente en ese sentido). Lo pasamos de maravilla junto a la piscina (la cubierta y la descubierta) y la ubicación siempre es genial para toda la familia (a 1 minuto andando de la playa para los niños). He leído las críticas negativas que recientemente se han escrito sobre este complejo turístico diciendo que estaba "empatado y roto". Al parecer, debemos ser de mundos aparte porque el vestíbulo que conozco lo acababan de reformar, además es enorme, con vistas del agua mientras esperas a que te registren. El césped siempre está en perfecto estado y la laguna de agua salada es realmente por lo que volvemos. Haz tu propia búsqueda. Cuando reservas directamente con el director del hotel no puedes elegir la habitación que quieres. A cambio te dan la que ellos quieren cuando apareces por allí. Reserva directamente con el propietario para que sepas la habitación en la que te vas a hospedar. En este caso nos dieron un apartamento de 5 estrellas, totalmente renovado por la mitad del precio. La mayoría de la gente paga llamando al complejo directamente (y a cambio tienen una habitación que no ha sido reformada).
