I'm glad to hear that our receptionist provided a warm welcome and was empathetic to your situation. I understand how frustrating it can be when unexpected charges arise, especially when dealing with third-party booking sites. To clarify, our team aimed to provide guidance on how to address the issue with the third-party booking site. We suggested that disputing the charge through your bank could lead to a lengthy process, which is why we recommended reaching out to the booking company directly for a quicker resolution. Our intention was to help you avoid any additional inconvenience. However, I regret that this was not communicated more clearly, and I apologise if our response added to your concerns. While we strive to ensure that our guests have a seamless experience, we are limited in our ability to intervene when bookings are made through third-party sites, as we do not have control of their policies. We encourage our guests to book directly with us to avoid such issues, as this allows us to ensure that everything is handled smoothly from start to finish. I do understand that it can be challenging to navigate the various options available online, and I'm sorry that this resulted in a less-than-ideal situation for you.
