Not worth the money

We stayed at peppers recently, the hotel is in a good location and that is as good as it gets. The rooms are basic considering it is 4 star hotel. The staff are over worked yet the seem t ok be happy. If you are wanting to go to cradle mountain you would be better off staying out of the national park and drive in and catch the bus into the park. The cost of the rooms range between $400 - $700 per night which is over the top for a basic room with no TV or microwave. Do not stay at this hotel.

Amazing location great service

The stay was everything I hoped it would be. Quiet blissful stay in the cabin and then the opportunity to lounge in the lodge after hiking next to a huge open fireplace. Staff were extremely helpful and the food in the restaurant was delicious.

The King Billy Suite was one of the nicest spaces. The open fireplace in both the lounge and bedroom area with endless wood supply made it delightful and the natural stone bath was a sensation. Beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. Would highly recommend it.

Great location, terrible reception experience.

When we arrived our booking was not in the system for the right nights despite us having booking confirmations on email. The reception guy had real problems with english and understanding us. He had to go out the back and speak with a manager numerous times until eventually the manager (who was sitting a few feet away behind a door) came out to help. It was made out that they were doing us a massive favour getting us the room we booked. They tried to charge us more than our booking and again when this was pointed out another massive favour was done for us. Our booking in the restaurant that was booked separately was also wrong so the guy struggling with english fixed it for us . . . .but turns out that night when we turned up for dinner he didnt put that in right this time either. Its was like Faulty towers, comedic if it wasnt so annoying. Room was clean, highlands restaurant food was great and wait staff were good too. Pity about front of house!!!

Absolutely zero service

We staying at the Cradle Mountain lodge but they can’t accommodate us for dinner and choose to send us to another hotel. Apparently too busy for their own guest. It gets worse tried to book for breakfast and the earliest is 9am although we explained that we have a 2 year ols. It’s okay he can starve till 9. At almost $500 a night you would think that this is impossible. Nah shocking shocking.I think brain freeze affected most of the staff. Don’t waste your hard earned money. It’s just not worth it

Hi Ange10dj, Thank you for taking the time to pass on your feed back from your recent stay with us. Please accept my apologies for us not be able to get you in for your preferred time for breakfast. Breakfast is available from 7am till 10am and we do our best to get guests in for their preferred time, unfortunately there are times when this is not the case i'm sorry for an inconvenience this caused on this occasion. Our Highlands Restaurant is very popular and gets fully booked regularly so we restrict it to house guests unless we have a cancellation on the day and can take an additional bookings, so it best to book ahead of time if your planning to dine there. We also have our Tavern is open 7 days from 11:30 - late and there is no need to book in for any time that you want to dine there. Regards The Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge Team
