The lodge is very well located to where the shuttle bus departs for the mountain walks. There are also easy and moderate level walks departing straight from the lodge grounds also. We enjoyed the waterfall walks. My wife and I had the massage. It was by far the best massage I have ever had. The rooms are fantastic and we had dinners at the restaurant, fantastic food.

Will NEVER go again. It’s been crossed off our “to do” list now. Our room was in between rooms on either side. The walls are thin, the floor creaks - you will hear EVERYTHING that your neighbour does, especially if they have young children or stay up late. There is NO TV! Which could help drown out hearing your neighbours. A decent sized, out dated bathroom with such a small shower. Our shower water would constantly change temp from scalding to cold. Not nice at all. It’s really over rated, and I don’t know how it’s a Peppers hotel - such a low standard. Mini bar snacks extremely overpriced, hot chocolate sachets were out dated ( April 24)! The only good thing was a visit to the day spa. If only the rest of the hotel/lodge was to the same standard! Go for a day visit, don’t stay.

Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge boasts a prime location at the doorstep of Tasmania's breathtaking Cradle Mountain wilderness, making it nature lovers and adventurers seeking delight. While the setting is exceptional, the experience with the hotel staff was a mixed bag. Some interactions were outstanding, while others fell short and bordered on rudeness, leaving a less than favorable impression. The Tavern bar, with its laid-back atmosphere, perfect for families. It delivered on the promise of a quintessential tavern experience. Unfortunately, the breakfast experience was a disappointment, bordering on a disaster, failing to meet expectations. One significant drawback was the absence of in-room WiFi, a surprising shortcoming in this day and age. In a world where connectivity is key, the lack of WiFi in the rooms felt like a step back in time. Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge has true promise, but inconsistencies in staff interactions, subpar breakfast, and the absence of in-room WiFi detract from what could otherwise be a stellar experience.

First night was great in one of their spa suites with gas wood look fires. Thought we’d leave the spa water in to conserve resources. Lucky we did. Woke up the next morning to no water. So no toilet. No shower. Bucketed water in for toilet. All good. Notified front desk. Went out for the day. Came back in the evening. Still no water. Rang front desk to find out what was going to happen. Got verbally abused by staff member. Escalated problem to Resort Manager. She promised to refund second nights accommodation cost. All good. No refund has come through as yet. Left 2 messages for her to get in touch. No return calls

Spa room/cabin was superb. King-size bed is comfy. Wood heater gives great heat and ambience. There are many small walks that begin at the Lodge. Winter is great as crowd numbers are low - saw lots of wildlife. Highland Restaurant is marvellous.
