Overall a good experience. Simple issues like Repairing pot holes, better quality beacon & eggs at breakfast as the range of food was very good would have made the experience even better.

Everything was wonderful, staff were great, food was delicious. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and although the weather was raining most of the weekend, we still had a fabulous time and the clouds cleared the last day so we could get in a spectacular hike in Cradle mountain

Being a frequent traveller the room was below average .The car park and roads to the cabins are disgraceful with potholes 35cm +. There was no TV or quality internet.

Reception staff were lovely and gave great information. The cabins were fantastic, cosy and really easy to relax in with the spa after a full day of hiking. The meals at the tavern were really well priced and good sized. Absolutely recommended.

Unsure how to describe this place to someone else. It really would be best to just book it for yourself. Georgia on reception was lovely. All the staff were extremely accommodating. The enchanted walking track was beautiful. Restaurant for dinner was delicious. The twins working there made everything easy. Breakfast was also amazing the next morning. I’m unsure if I’ve ever stayed in a room quite like the King Billy Suite before. It was just magic. Highlight of our week in Tasmania.

As usual the location was fantastic. We have stayed many times but it’s not quite a good as it was. The little things have slipped. The Highland restaurant menu is not as good as it was. It used to be something special. The shared board games are gone, they used to create an atmosphere near the fire. The chess board is lovely. Before Covid the breakfast was amazing and has diminished yearly since. You never know we may be back again but what I thought needed to be a yearly retreat may not be so.

The reception staff at the hotel were nothing short of fabulous. The lady who checked us in went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The food in the restaurant is good pub food, with the exception of the cheesecake = flavourless and tacky with sprinkles on top??? The room was spacious, warm (with a wood heater) and spa bath, was also nice and clean. Only fault is bathroom floor seems to feel wet constantly, perhaps it was the very cold weather?

Hi There, We just stayed at your craddle mountain location last friday night. We booked through booking.com and treated ourselves to your Billy King Suite. You location is obviously amazing. The staff were very friendly except for breakfast morning. They were still very professional but a little stressed as it was a bit busy. 1 extra staff member would have done the world of good for the guests as well as staff. A few things that I noticed - - The venue as a whole is looking a little tired. Like I mentioned, amazing location, but things are looking a little tired which is a little bit of a shame. Exposed irrigation irrigation pipe, the entrance to our suite No 65, was very untidy (with the rocks around the entrance you can see nothing has been done for quite a while), white safety paint on the tracks looks horrid, roads around to the suite was horrid. I was dogging quite a few potholes and it wasnt very pleasent as it was quite rough. Little things like this seem superficial but would make a massive difference the best venue on the mountain. - Our room, whilst amazing could have done with a bit of a more deeper clean. Bed was comfy, bathroom was clean but the walls, light switches were dirty, walls needed a clean and a touch up with paint. Cobwebs near the aircon in the light. Being your most exclusive room for couples looking at a dirty light swith when turing it on isnt the best. Again only small superficial things but makes a huge difference. Please feel free to email me at in… and I can send you some pics of what I am talking about. - Our room again - more privacy on the balcony and spa area. It would have we could see the next rooms outdoor area next to us and if it was occupied and they were outside there would have been no privacy from them. So some more privacy screen facing all room would be great. As well the spa was way too full. My wife and I couldn't sit in it without our heads going under. So we are 5-8 and 5-10 so not too tall but we both couldn't sit on the seats in the spa without having to hold out body's up to keep our heads from going under. Either less water or some seating boxes or something we could sit on would have made the world of difference. We may have missed them but some hooks to hang towels and or our bathrobes as it was raining. - Dinner, we had in your altidude restaurant. Food was amazing, staff were amazing but the feel of the place for a pricey meal was a bit lack luster. We then had breakfast and looking back the dinner experice/atmosphere wasnt what I was expecting. Maybe a bit of lighting around the dam outside etc may create a bit more athmosphe from inside as well as a bit of work inside. Breakfast, the food stations needed signs whether they were GF or Dairy free. I am gluten intolerant but dairy I have a severe tolerence to so a few symbols next to what the dish is would have been great as I had to ask a couple of questions. The barista on that morning was struggling. 20min wait for a coffee. I myself run a small cafe and I could tell she wasn't the best at her milk. My espresso was good but the cappucino next to me was just a flat white whith chocolate on top. I get it when its busy but there needs to be a bit more help with coffee's as it's nice to have your coffee while eating rather than eating then waiting another 15 for your coffee. Oh and my wife's coffee was meant to be with almond milk but was full cream milk. We didnt say anything and just left as we knew they were so busy and wasnt worth addding to their morning. Other than that, our time was quite short on the mountain but did love our stay. Again venue, staff and food were amazing, these are just a few little things that I noticed on our short stay. These things are only minor but are easy fixes and would make things just a little more pleasent.

Our outdoor setting was covered in bird excrement, which was not resolved within our 4 night stay. My wife had chicken bones in her chicken roll on our Monday dinner, told waitress no action taken. On the Tuesday dinner at the fine dining restaurant my chicken was pink, I was sick on Tuesday night. On Thursday I booked the fly fishing tour, the host stated the only person that has ever caught a fish in the pond was him and the fish number was from 20 years ago. Why do a course if there are no fish. The roads need a lot of work. The parmi on Thursday was fantastic and so was the pizza. This was a 25th wedding anniversary trip from interstate and I was extremely disappointed overall for a Peppers.
